The Truth of a Kiss (A Cayes fanfiction)

Chapter 12

~Matt's POV~

"I hate Hayes for stealing Carter from me." I said to Shawn as we sat down at a table on the carnival grounds

I watched Shawn's eyes they had lost there color since the last time I saw him. "I know and I'm sorry he did." Shawn said in his quiet voice that sounded like an angel when he sang, but I noticed he's been avoiding music.

"What's wrong Shawn?" I asked "You seem kind of down." I say 

"Well I got into a fight with Taylor and he decided we should take a break." Shawn said

My eyes went wide "Wait what? Since when were you two dating?" I asked

"We wanted to keep it a secret until we were ready to tell you guys." he said choking up at the end of the sentence "Then that night party when we kissed he started to get really jealous of youhen it was just one stupid kiss." he said

"and what you didn't get mad at him for kissing Brent?" I asked

"Of course not their kiss wasn't passionate ours was." He said tears swelling in his eyes

I rubbed his back "When was this fight?" I asked

"The day at the park. When you found out Carter and Hayes were together. Apparently I was staring at you to much and the fact that I started to worry when you ran off really made Taylor jealous" he said

"Shawn I'm so sorry." I said. I couldn't deny I had feelings for Shawn, but I felt like I would be using him to make Carter jealous. I couldn't do that to him not Shawn.He was so innocent and sweet.

"Why are you sorry?" He asked "There's no reason for you to be sorry this is my fault, I'm the one who kissed you that night, I'm the one who was staring at you. It was all me." he said tears streaming down his cheeks

Seeing Shawn made my heart break "Is he the reason why you aren't singing or avoiding music?" I asked looking into his tear filled eyes

He nodded "Taylor and I would always listen to music and I would sing and if there was any rapping involved he would do that." he said "So music for once hasn't been helpful at all."

The next thing I knew I was holding Shawn to my chest and his lips were ontop of mine. My feeling towards Carter completely forgotten. His heart break forgotten. All that mattered to me was Shawn. When our lips connected he flinched and pulled away then leaned back in as his hands caressed my cheeks. I couldn't describe the feeling I got when my lips were on his, but when we broke the kiss. I felt empty inside. I put my forehead on Shawn's and I looked at his eyes. The color had reappeared and there was a smile on his lips.

"Espinosa what the hell do you think your doing?" I heard a voice say. I turned my head in the direction of the voice to find a very upset angry Taylor.

~Carter's POV~

When Hayes and I were on our way, I got a call from Taylor asking us to pick him up. I gladly agreed and we went and got Taylor. On our way back he told us how Shawn and him got into a fight and he felt really guilty for saying the things he said. That's when he told us to keep their relationship a secret just between the three of us and Shawn of course and Hayes and I agreed. When we arrived we went on multiple rides. Taylor and Hayes were talking while we walked around when something caught my attention.

"Is that Matt and Shawn?" I asked

"Where?" Taylor asked looking in the direction I was

"Over there kissing." I said

I saw Taylor's face go from hopeful to angry in almost an instant. His eyes went wide his nostrils flared "Espinosa what the hell do you think your doing?" Tylor yelled walking towards Matt and Shawn

Hayes and I followed behind as Shawn stood up from the table "Taylor calm down please." Shawn said stepping in front of Taylor and trying to hold him back

Taylor stopped in his tracks when Shawn did so "Get out of the way Shawn." Taylor said

"No Taylor I can't let you hurt Matt over some stupid kiss." Shawn said "It was a mistake anyways." Shawn said quietly regretting his words right when they rolled off his tongue, I looked at Matt his heart had been crushed. His eyes went dull and lifeless and he walked away right upon returning my gaze.

I looked at Taylor and Shawn, Taylor was hugging Shawn to his chest and Shawn was sobbing as Taylor whispered sweet nothings to Shawn. I couldn't help, but worry about Matt. It was clear that Matt was hurt and that he really enjoyed the kiss. I could tell Shawn did too, but Shawn's feelings towards Taylor were stronger than his towards Matt. I watched Matt walking away and when I looked back to Taylor and Shawn. Shawn was pinned against the bathroom wall with his legs around Taylor's waist and Taylor's hands were holding Shawn's butt. I quickly looked away and grabbed Hayes's hand and walked away. 

"Catch a ride from Shawn." I said with a laugh

"Carter where are we going to go now?" Hayes asked

"We are going to eat." I said getting into the car. Hayes got into the other side and we drove off. When we got to the small diner  we sat at a table instead of sitting right across from Hayes I sat right next to him. As we ate I rubbed my hand on Hayes's thigh to tease him and he whined

'Cartah stop." he said

"Aw your no fun." I whined with a laugh

As we continued eating I did it again "Stop." Hayes growled

"How about no." I say giving his thigh a squeeze earning a yelp from Hayes

"Carterrrrr." he whined  punching me in the arm. I just laughed as we stood up to leave. We walked to the car and drove back to my house. We walked inside and up to my room. I pinned Hayes to the wall crashing our lips together. I put my arm under his thigh and pulled his leg around my waist and quickly followed with the other one.I turned him from the wall and pinned him to my bed not breaking the kiss. The kiss broke when I pulled off my shirt and followed by his own. Our lips collided again in a sloppy kiss.-----------------------------
