The Truth of a Kiss (A Cayes fanfiction)

Chapter 2

~Hayes POV~

"Hayes just woke up." Carter said with a smile standing up and backing up across to the other couch

Nash sat on the couch beside me as I sat up "Hey Hayes are you alright?" he asked

"Yeah I'm fine..." I said holding my head "How long have I been out?" I asked blinking my eyes

"About an hour." Nash said "If you didn't wake up soon Cam was going to cancel the party and take you to the hospital." he said quietly "Do you have any idea how it happened?" he asked

I shook my head "Nope all of a sudden I was just dizzy and I fell." I looked around the room to see were now joined by Cam and Shawn. I stood up slowly.

"Hey take it easy Hayes it's really weird how that just happened" Shawn said "Have you had anything to drink recently?" He asked

I shook my head "Nope not today." I said "but it's weird that would just happen, I haven't done anything crazy today" I say as Shawn hands me a glass of water. I take a drink. The water soothed my dry mouth.

"That's quite weird." Shawn said "But anyways how the hell are ya Hayes?" He asked putting his arm around my shoulder

"I've been good how about you?" I asked quietly

"I'm good" he says

"Let's get this party started!" Cam yells and runs to the door as the doorbell rang.

I laughed as people flooded into Cam's house. I took a seat next to Carter and we started talking. Taylor handed Carter a beer. He gladly took a drink. I watched as my brother took shots.

Soon enough Nash was wasted and I was handed a beer. I watched as everybody got wasted. I laughed as Nash started hitting on Cam started hitting on each other.

"SPIN THE BOTTLE!!!!" Shawn yelled "Basement everybody!" He yelled opening the basement door.

People flooded downstairs, Cam and I were a few of the only people who weren't wasted.

"Hayes come on!" Carter pulled my hand

I gave a small laugh and followed Carter down the stairs. His hand was placed in mine. My face was red. We sat on the floor in the circle. Nash spun the bottle. It landed on Cam. Cam smiled as all the people cheered "OOOOO!"

Nash crawled over to Cam and put his hand on Cam's cheek. Cam's cheeks turned red. "What Cam are you nervous?" Nash asked

Cam rolled his eyes trying to hide his blush "Just kiss me and get it over with" he said with laugh

Nash smirked a little. Their lips connected in a passionate kiss. Suddenly Cam's eyes flew open in surprise. Then Nash pulled away with the same smirk on his face. He crawled back to his spot in the circle. He looked proud of himself. As he passed the bottle to Shawn.Shawn spun the bottle landing on Matt. Matt laughed a bit as Shawn's face turned red. Matt crawled to Shawn and sat on his lap wrapping his arms and legs around a very embarrassed Shawn. They kissed just a little peck, but you could tell from Shawn's face that he wanted more than that. Matt took a seat next to Shawn. Shawn passed the bottle to Taylor. Taylor spun landing on Brent. They kissed with no interest at all.

The bottle was passed to me. I reluctantly spun the bottle. The bottle spun quickly. My heart started racing as it slowed. The slower it spun the faster my heart went. I was almost certain everybody could hear it at this point. When the bottle stopped, so did my heart. The bottle had landed on me. I let out a small sigh of relief.

"That's a bunch of crap!" Taylor yelled

"I agree" Carter says "I say spin it again." He smiles

"UGH fine" I groan placing my hand on the bottle with a small spin. It spun slowly, round and round the bottle went. When it stopped, my heart stopped. It had landed on Carter. My brain was telling my heart to stop pounding out of control, but it wouldn't listen. I looked towards Carter his cheeks had turned red.

"Can we not do this?" I asked trying to get away from it

"No way! If I had to kiss Brent then you have kiss Carter!" Taylor snapped 'Don't make me make you do it" he said

Carter turned to me "C'mon Hayes he won't shut up until we do it." he said quietly

I nodded and closed my eyes and let out a breath "Okay" I whisper

I slowly approached Carter's lips with my own. His hand was placed under my chin. As he leaned downward to kiss my lips. I bit my bottom lip looking at this lips. He tilted his head and closed his eyes. I closed my eyes as our lips locked. His lips were soft and warm pressed against mine. Our lips moved in perfect harmony. His hand moved from my hand to my cheek. He placed his other hand on my lower back. He was pulling me closer. Before I knew it, I was sitting on Carter's stomach. He slowly rubbed my back.

"Okay we get it." Taylor groaned

Carter then pulled away with a small smirk on his lips. "Just wanted to put on show." he said with a laugh.

I got off his stomach and sat back down on the ground.

"And with that this party is over." Cam said "Does anybody need a cab?" he asked most of the people nodded

Cam walked upstairs and called multiple cabs. Nash walked upstairs, I followed

"Nash can we please go home?" I asked

"No way Hayes I'm way to drunk to drive" he says

"but I-" I got cut off

"There is no way you are taking my truck you had a drink too." he says

I sighed a bit and sat on the couch. I propped my head up with my hand aganist the arm of the couch.

"Hey Hayes?" I heard a voice and felt someone shaking me

"Huh?" I asked opening my eyes slightly to see Carter

"You fell asleep, you should head up to bed." he said quietly a fresh smell of whiskey on his breath

 I shivered smelling the whiskey. "C-Carter..." I murmured

He picked me up in his arms and headed up the stairs and into a bedroom. He slowly set me on my back. He crawled over me and kissed my neck a bit.

"C-Carter don't do this you'll regret it." I say quietly as he nibbled my neck

"Hayes I know what I'm doing.." He says quietly as his hand made it's way up my shirt

I cringed to his soft hands on my stomach "N-no you don't Carter stop it." I say "Please stop it Carter I'm begging you!' I say

He looked down at me and kissed my forehead "I'm sorry." he said getting off the bed

I grabbed his wrist 'Stay with me Carter" I said "Please"

He laid beside me and wrapped me up in his arms 'goodnight Hayes" he said kissing my temple

"goodnight Carter.' I said snuggling my face into his chest

I started to drift to sleep, I heard a mumble "I love you" I heard
