Stiles had been practicing his magic all day long.

A failed science experiment that went wrong resulted in Stiles gaining new powers, the ability to cast spells, which Deaton was more than happy to help him with.

He'd struggled at first, setting things on fire that shouldn't be, losing concentration in class and accidentally making his text books float above his desk before Scott would grab them so no one would notice.

Being apart of Scott's pack as a human was frustrating at times, but now Stiles felt that he could truly help his friends in ways he couldn't before— the only problem was that he still couldn't grasp his new abilities.

He'd been sat in his room, sparks flickering around his hands as he chanted various spells. He even tried to animate one of his figurines, but for some reason it didn't seem to work.

Letting out a sigh, he traipsed downstairs into the kitchen and opened his fridge, hunting for something to eat when he suddenly heard a crash in the garage.

His first thought was about his jeep, he didn't care about anything else in the world.

"Roscoe?" He yelled out as he opened the door to the garage, his eyes immediately widening when he saw his jeep was missing and instead a girl was stood in its place.

"Uh..." The girl stuttered as she looked around, terrified as to what had happened.

Stiles immediately turned around as he noticed her lack of clothing, his cheeks blushing bright red, "I'm... I'm gonna go and get you some clothes." He mumbled as he rushed back inside and up to his room.

He dug around in his closet for a t-shirt and sweatpants before rushing back to the garage, he shielded his eyes as he held them out for the girl.

"Thanks?" She said, but it came out as more of a question.

Stiles waited until she put the clothes on before finally looking over at her.

"So... who are you?" He asked, his whiskey-brown eyes trailing across the girl as he observed her dark brown hair and incredibly enchanting hazel eyes.

"I... I don't know..." the girl replied, still confused as to what was going on.

Stiles was quiet for a moment before his eyes widened, "Roscoe?"

She looked over at him, her eyebrows furrowing together slightly, "what the hell is
a Roscoe?"

"I think that you're Roscoe... my jeep." Stiles stated.

The girl was quiet for a moment before responding, "...I am?"

"Do you... do you know anything?" Stiles asked, worried.

"No...?" She replied uneasily.

Stiles hit his forehead, cursing himself.

"Why are you doing that?" She asked, her eyes flickering over the boy in front of her, confused.

"I think I've turned my jeep into, well, you." He said.

"Oh... how?" She asked, stepping closer to the boy.

"I, uh, I have these powers..." he said, before holding his hand out in front of him, he concentrated slightly before a light appeared in the palm of his hand.

She stared at the light in awe as it began to change into different shapes such as a bird, "wow."

He closed his hand and let the light disappear, "pretty cool, right?"

She nodded, "yeah."

"So... I should probably let you come inside. It's pretty cold in here." Stiles suggested.

"Okay." She replied, following him inside.

"Do you want anything to eat?" Stiles asked as he picked up the cold slice of pizza he'd began to eat.

The girl frowned, "um I guess?"

Stiles stared at her for a moment as she stood in front of him, she didn't seem to know how to act as a human.

As much as he would miss his jeep he couldn't exactly change her back into a piece of metal. He pulled out a chair and gestured for her to sit down whilst he grabbed another slice of pizza from the fridge.

As she looked at it with disgust, Stiles smiled, "I promise it's nice."

She took it from him gingerly and watched as he bit into it, doing the same and taking a huge bite.

"Mm." She hummed slightly at how good it tasted.

"See?" He grinned.

As they both ate in silence, Stiles thought for a moment as he wondered what he was going to tell his dad. He also couldn't stop himself from staring at her and thinking about how pretty she was.

"Why are you staring?" She asked quietly.

"Oh! Um... I was just thinking about how pretty you are, since you used to be my jeep it's kinda weird..." he admitted.

"You think I'm pretty?" She repeated, staring at him in confusion.

He nodded, blushing slightly, "yeah."

She found herself feeling something strange in her stomach, like butterflies, as he smiled at her.

She smiled back at him as his eyes glistened slightly, he still couldn't believe how beautiful the girl who used to be his jeep was.

Since that moment, Stiles decided he was going to help her with being human, although he knew he was giving up one of his favourite things in the world but he was sure you were worth it.

"I guess we should give you a name, right? I can't exactly call you Roscoe." Stiles said, running through names in his brain.

"Okay." The girl nodded.

"Rosa..." he thought out loud, but she shook her head, "Rosetta... Rose?"

"Rose." The girl nodded.

"If you're staying with me you'll have to go to school, so you'll need a second name..." he sighed, leaning back in his chair as he thought for a moment.

His eyes lingered on a pile of DVD's his father had brought home for him on the kitchen table, one of them being Lara Croft.

"Rose Croft." Stiles said, smiling to himself before he looked over at the girl.

"Rose Croft," Rose repeated, "...I like it."

"It's like the girl version of Roscoe." Stiles chuckled lightly.

Rose didn't understand but she laughed too, smiling at Stiles.

"Well, Rose... it's getting late, I'll show you around and then we can set you up in my room, I'll sleep on the couch." Stiles said.

Stiles gave Rose a quick tour of his home before making up his bed for her, as he grabbed a blanket and his pillow from his bed he headed downstairs. He stopped at his bedroom door and looked back at Rose who was staring up at his ceiling, "Good night, Rose." He said softly.

She looked over at him, "Good night, Stiles."

As Stiles lay down on the couch downstairs, he wondered how he was going to tell his dad, but most importantly his friends. Eventually he decided he'd worry about in the morning.
