"My legs hurt already... Can't we take a break for now?" Sorano whined, clinging on Yukino's arm as we walked.
"We will, as soon as we find a good place to rest."
"Want me to carry you?" Midnight proposed, smirking mischievously.
"No thanks!"
"Nee-sama, endure it for now. We'll rest soon."
I can't help but smile at the sight of the sisters, a bubbly feeling rising in me as I watched them. I guess it's just nice how close they are despite of the years of being separated.
"It's just odd."
I turned to my side as I heard Cobra spoke, his forehead was creased as he looked at Yukino. "I still can't hear her thoughts."
That's indeed odd, but maybe it just has something to do with Pierre controlling her to tell us something at times. But still... I can't erase the suspicion and worry. She didn't lose her memories so... why?
"We'll rest here for now." Jellal's voice snapped my thoughts, and that was when I noticed we arrived at a small forest, a large body of water could be seen across from here.
"Finally!"
I slumped down on the ground, lying on the grass and trying not to mind the itchiness. We've been walking for hours with no rest, making my legs worn out. Adding the burning heat of the sun, we're all exhausted.
"Here." Cobra handed me a bottle of water, which I gladly accepted and gulped continously.
I took off my cloak, unable to stand the heat and left myself with only a short and a strapless top. I glanced at the others, and everyone seems to be suffering under the heat of the sun despite the trees shading us.
"Clouds, please hear me and cover the sun." Meredy mumbled as she fanned herself, and just a few seconds later, the whole place got shaded.
It was as if the clouds did hear Meredy, as a large group of them blocked the sun, shielding us from the harsh heat rays.
"I got my energy back!" Meredy suddenly got up to her feet, pumping her fists in the air as she smiled cheerfully. "And I realized resting is booooring."
For some reason, she suddenly ran to my spot, stretching her hand out and then tapping my shoulder before running away. "Tag, you're it!"
It took a few moments before I realized what she wanted to do, and when I did, a cheerful grin broke into my lips as I stood up and tapped Sorano before running off.
"Hey, I don't wanna play!" She whined, but still stood up and tagged her sister.
The four of us ran around, chasing each other before we decided to include the boys. Meredy was it, and she tagged Richard, who managed to tag Midnight, who managed to tag Cobra.
Jellal and Racer were the only ones left, and we were actually hesitant to tag Racer knowing how fast he is.
"Whoo! Catch me if you can!" Meredy laughed as I chased her.
Smirking mishievously, I telepathically commanded Virgo to create a hole to trap her, and successfully did.
"Tag, you're it!" I laughed before running away from her.
"That's cheating!"
"No, it's not!"
Meredy pouted before chasing after Richard, and when she tagged him, he was then able to tag Cobra.
I ran as fast as I could, seeing he was chasing after me.
"Lucy, run!"
I grinned at Richard when he melted the ground below Cobra to slow him down, giving me more chance to run away.
