Bear!

In less time den it takes me to drool over my sweating mate, LUNA and ALPHA leaped off their balcony together racing to join me. Then my mate Faust joins us warning the bear with his threatening snarls and growls. The bear, who had not moved until now. Disregards Faust's threat as he demonstrates, by turning his head towards Luna, and begins heading over to him.

 It minds spoke to only LUNA "Father". Alpha was about to intervene and cut off the bear from reaching Luna when he heard it wulf speak to Luna he hesitates. Then my brother's reaction completely stops us dead. Luna suddenly excited yells "BEN!! BABY BEAR!!" then bolts to the giant bear jumping into his massive neck and is ..... HUGGING HIM?? Leaving Beta, Alpha and Faust with cocked heads turn all three to the left gawking, their mouths opened. 

Wulf Speaking now "How did you know I was here?"

"This cub no forget father raise him?  never will. " Ben licks LUNA's face then sits on his haunches in bear fashion. He wraps his huge paws around Luna returning Luna's hug. Luna who had never let go of him now looks to his bear cub taking him in completely "OH MY GODDESS BEN YOUR HUGE!!!" then Luna's mouth drops. Right there and then, Ben does something that leaves Luna speechless and dumbfounded. Right in front of Luna. Ben phased. Alpha Ruben is the first to speak his tone normal, a matter of factly "A wer-bear"

"Ben??" a wide-eyed Lunas is stumped with amazement. He can barely talk "I never knew".

Ben responds verbally now "father my precious. Many children helped you did, children of GODDESS belong." Luna's eyes are watery and glistening, but he does not cry. Instead, the two hugs again as everyone present hears Luna express "Your always my little baby boy" and he kisses Ben his giant human form phased cub on the forehead. To my surprise and that of Randall and Robert's, from Luna's forehead kiss Ben squeals as if he were a cub once more.

 My mate once more is being hugged by a laughing Ben. Ben knowing, no matter how gigantic and imposing he is or which form he takes, Ben will always be seen in Luna's eyes, as the squealing cub he raised.... and he wouldn't want it any other way.

I decided to confirm my thoughts "Judging from the look on your face mulatto.  Ben never phased before?"  His response was obvious "NO. NEVER" Ruben continued

  "Because I can see you still look at him as a cub, yet he's height surpasses mine at 6'5", he is built thick like a TRUE BEAR............. SCARY Son Of a Bitch." Alexi noting my tone of voice laced with a protective jealous nature. Decides it would PROBABLY be best to just fill me into their past.

Noting his protective tone, I turn my attention to my mate for a moment, then back to Ben, Wulf Speaking to my Ruben. "Ben's mind has never been the same since I found him one spring Fifteen years ago. I was with the cubs walking thru the woods & showing them how to find & track prey I wulf spoke to them. Somehow, he heard me and came running, wailing as he ran. I heard his wails & went running to him. He jumped into my arms & screamed. I could feel his pain radiating powerfully inside me. I tuck him inside my shirt against my chest for comfort and warmth. There, Ben fell asleep almost instantly. Tracking back the trail he made, I followed the trail till I saw his mother's body. His mother had been killed and Ben was only I think a 3mth old cub. From the indent at the top of her stiff body and animal prints all around it. I could see he had probably laid on top of her trying hard to guard her body against scavengers. She had been dead for a while as she was beginning to break down.

With the help of my wulves, I dug a huge deep hole and put her inside. Just as I was ready to begin covering her, Ben wailed. I did not realize Ben had awoken in my shirt and was looking out of the V neck. I felt obligated to do this. I set Ben on the ground, He ran to the edge and would have jumped in, but I held him. Picking him up, together we jumped down, so he could say goodbye to her properly. For the next two years, Ben never left my side. I taught him how to hunt, fight, forage, avoid humans, and dig a cave along with the cubs. In that time, he and the wulves bonded and became family. Every spring Ben would return to the cabin checking to see if I had returned. Or Tito, who towards Ben developed a Litter mate bond, will go find him and let him know I am home. I would then know he was coming because I would hear his thundering footfalls as he barreled thru shrubs coming til he saw me. When I had Amnesia Alina told me he would patrol the outside and come close when I slept to be next to me, leaving with them before I woke up so as not to scare me. He's part of OUR family." Looking to my BEN "I love him and would protect him like any of our pack". I stay focused on Ben. My eyes showing my paternal love "He is my cub Kojak and the second half of my heart."

Ruben's eyes now rest on Ben continuing to listen to our past, as if he were a fragile pup. He turns back to me, the same love appearing in his eyes, a brimming smile crossing his face as he says "No amor. He is OUR cub. A Big Son of a Bitch but OUR cub none-the-less." Reaching for my hand enclosing it in his, taking another look back at Ben again saying "Damn, One Big Son of a Bitch." and we chuckle together. Ben standing there naked.

After releasing from our brief embrace I introduce Ben to Ruben "Benjamin Maisonet this is my mate Alpha Ruben Acosta." We all turn and begin heading back to the packhouse. Remembering to ask him, knowing Ben's coming here was dangerous with all the new pack members who don't know him and would see him as a threat, "So why now?" Ben responds "Before coming here I did when heard you had returned. Yet did not see you. There was too much noise and it bothered my ears. So, I kept coming back. Something you need know father. Recently I see dead caller come and is now in our midst."

"WHAT!!!" a shocked quartet stopped looking to Ben wide-eyed. Ruben growls "Impossible" Yet is immediately looking to Beta Randall his tone deadly serious "The Elders must be gathered. No-one is safe." Beta responds, "Done Alpha" and together with Robert, bolts to the Pack House.

Naked, Ben who is walking behind us says "Alpha Ruben is father's mate. I will protect Alpha Ruben too." Ruben stops us now, turning to lovingly smile at Ben "I am sure I can protect us all." Then phases. Crimson stands now, looking to Ben as a father Wulf gazes towards his cub. As a person of height, Ruben is 6'5" 310lbs, as a wulf. Crimson is just as impressive in height being bigger than most. Ben, however, is undeterred. He reaches for Crimson rubbing his neck fur. Then he smiles, grinning as he says, "You're still small." phasing into his giant Kodiak bear form, Ben rises on his back legs to stand at full height letting out a Kodiak bear roar. A roar which carries throughout our immediate terrritory,  alerting everyone of his presence. Not good.
