38- A Touch of Beta

Randal turns now, stomping off, arms flailing, head swishing, ranting, heading towards the pack house. "OH HELLLLL NO!! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!! GODDESS KNOWS, how long these STRAIGHT DICKHEADS! I MEAN STRAIGHT ASS CONTRACTORS TOOK WITH DIS PLACE!!" he stops mid-rant, turns to address Alpha & Luna "OH!! Den there was DA DUST!! & NOISE!! I NEED MY BEAUTY SLEEP!!" gesturing to his face "DIS RAVISHINESS NEEDS TIME!!" turning back around now, continuing his ranting as he resumes towards the pack house. Almost reaching the porch he spins around AGAIN  loudly saying "You know WE HAVE CUBS RIGHT!!" he pauses, folds his hands in front of him like a nun in prayer fake smiling "da little darlins" 

Then raises his arm high in the air and SNAPS A LOUD SNAP IN THE AIR! "Or DID Ya forget, DEY LEFT TRASH ALL OVER!! OH AND NAILS AND SCREWS!! WE HAVE CUBS!!! YOU DONE LOS YA MIND ALPHA ACOSTA!!" then turns around, arms flaying in the air.

Alpha, Luna, and everyone present snicker watching Beta go go, go on his rant. Mom looking a little surprised says "so that's little Randy now Beta, huh? Is he always like this?" In one unified response, everyone resounds loudly "YES!!"

causing her to laugh. She looks to Tia Carrie, who is laughing so hard. She holds her stomach tears coming down unable to speak, nodding her own agreement.

Beta, not missing a beat spins around, snaps his fingers, simultaneously swishing his head from left to right responding equally loudly while broad scan waving his left extended arm pointing at us "YOU ALL WILL BE Alllll -iiiiGHT!!"

Then he addresses mom directly "TITI GURL! do ya KNO how dey wears ME OUT!! GURL YA JUS DON'T KNO!! But-CHA WILL HONEY!! I GOT SOO MUCH TA TELL YA!!" his hands doing a wait, wait for gesture. Once again Beta turns away giving his back to us, his closing comment "Titi, smooches gurl we talk lata over coffee. THESE DAM FOOLS DON LOST DEY MIND. DAT HAPPENS GURL WHEN DEY GIT SOME SOOKIE UP IN'EM!!! UGH!! SMOOCHIES AND WELCOME HOME! DEES (these) CRAZY ASS MOFO WULVES DRIVE A HOMO TA DRINK!!! MAMAAAA!!"

Everyone at this point including mom, are hysterical as Luna says "he is the reason I don't DRINK!. Could you imagine what HANGOVERS BE LIKE WITH HIM AROUND!!" causing a renewed explosion of laughter. Slowly making our way towards the pack house trailing far faaar behind Beta. Yet somehow he heard Luna

"OH REALLLLY!! I WOULD BE DA BEST DAM HANGOVER YOU WOULD EVA HAVE!! And DON'T THINK I AM LETTING YOU CHANGE DA SUBJECT LATINA BEYOTCH!! DONE GOT YOURSELF A MAN SO WATEVA HE SAY GOES!! N-E-V-A DAT! MAMA!! YOUR ROOM...MEETING!! CHOP CHOP!!"  As he snaps his fingers.

Titi calmly comes to wrap her arm through Mom's arm and Carmen joins her, doing the same move from her other side. Walking alongside with a snicker saying, "and to think RUBEN made HIM BETA!" Again, we hear Beta's voice "APPARENTLY DA BEST DAM DECISION HE EVA MADE MAMA!! SOMMMME BODY GOTTA HAVE SUMMM SENSE AROUND HERE!! UGH." adding "YA SEE HE Don lost his DAM MIND! DAT WULF CRAZY!" nearing the pack house, everyone continues chuckling.

Papi now says "He takes getting used to, huh?" Ruben bellows spinning to Papi "THAT'S WHAT I SAID!!" Then looks directly to primo saying loudly "SEE, SEE. I TOLD YOU THAT! Next time I REACH FOR MORTIM...... NOT A WORD FROM YOU OF "he's not that bad" ALEXI ACOSTA!!" Luna holding. His stomach laughs and lightly elbows Alpha in the ribs causing him to burst laughingly blurting out "WHAT! you know it's true. Alpha looks to my father. He slides in a wink, smiling. Then looks to primo as we continue walking, throwing an arm around his shoulder, kissing his cheek.

In the months that followed. A new wing was indeed added to the mystic school for necromancer studies of which I became an avid student. Oddly enough, it was Beta who suggested it. Go figure.

We discovered there had been dormant necromancers within our pack whose abilities awakened with mami & papi's arrival into the pack and now, study under my powerful necromancer parents. Learning how to commune with the dead, the ways history and practices of the necromancy.

During my own studies, I easily mastered the more intense rituals, spells, summons, and intricacies of mysticism with mom and Carmen. Delta who never left Mom's side, along with Titi, Mima, and Loli (tia's protégé after the battle) was right. Mami is truly a force onto herself when wielding necromantic energy. They also catch mom & dad up on the years she had missed. Whenever something new was shown to mom or papi, the mesmerizing look on their faces unnerved me. Causing me to gradually become more protective.

That is until Beta Randall pointed it out to me one day over a rice cooker they were entranced with at Best Buy. Saying "Beyotch bring it down yo ass becoming just like I used to be with you, uh uhgurl dat NOT DA LOOK FOR YOU".

But, on Sundays along with Loli their newest recruit, they board themselves up in tia's room watching Golden Girls. Goddess help anyone who dares knock on their door. Tia will portal them... TO THE LAKE!! NO EXCEPTIONS just like she did luna & beta once.

Since seeing my abilities, Randall has changed. He is not as protective over me as he was before. Matter fact he is WORSE!!! I laugh as I say this because Randall, aside from still being a piece of furniture in my house, has treated me like he does Luna and Carmen with his cursing and sassy lip. Beta also introduced me to NYC often snatching me away to go shop in Manhattan for clothes.

Personally, I dont like all that noise or the wrenching fumes. But he is my beta and pack brother.
