-33- For my Mother

Silently I approach my mother's form. The wulf I have not seen since my youth. Her breathing is labored. Phase back to my human form as everyone parts and step back. my mind recalls the dream. The beautiful wulf in my dreams is not what I see now before me. I see mystic seals cover her neck & riddled throughout her body, burned into her skin. Leaving her skin exposed where fur should be, infected as pus leaks out. She looks severely sickly and malnourished. Probably starved and beaten. Without reason or realizing it, tears form and fell as I drop to my knees reaching for her. Centella's whimpers as softly, I kneel and lift her head placing it in my lap "Mom". I bury my face on her burned skin. Her Wulf Speak weak as she speaks to me

" Alinita mi hija (my daughter), is it really you?  But how? One eye told me you were dead. I know he was lying Cerebos would never allow that. Even though I knew better hija (daughter), I did. I gave into my despair. I am sorry Mija (daughter) I gave up. I lost my mate and I thought I lost you too. I wanted death to end this. but I was wrong, look how beautiful you have become."

Look at my mother softly I caress her bare skin "shhhhmami, we can talk later." For the first time I do what I know I must without hesitation. After placing her head gently on the ground, I stand up with unwavering intent. Turning my head to look at both my aunt and mentor. I nod.

They now separate, one going to stand at her head, another going to stand at her feet. With me positioning myself over her midsection. I have only one thought in my mind, one determination in my heart. My mother, the-wulf who bore me, will live. Again, I summon my full powers, my eyes return their ghostly paleness and I am ready. The celestial guardians, including CEREBUS display black eyes with red pupils. We are ready

Having also phased to their human form, CARMEN & Titi as one speak "we will form the portal. For CEREBUS to return to her, ALINA you must release CEREBUS.

"yes" I lock eyes with CEREBUS. He can feel my pain and sorrow at his departure as I do his. But I also feel his happiness thru our ethereal connection. He is going home.

 "I love you little Alina" Lowering my three heads and softly lick her cheek.

Tears fall, released from the lick of his heads. My words are hoarse from the lump in my throat "I love you too ....... CERBI." he huffs. That was his chuckle at my calling him that. "Now go." Cerebos hesitates to look. I push him using my mist. He stands over the portal, then fades descending into mom, into his birth mistress. Our ethereal chain grows thinner. I can both see it and feel it. "UGH" my body rocks as avoid like pain inside me unfold growing with strength. Then it is over CEREBUS is gone. I look to my mother now. But horror grips me I scream "MAMI!!"

She is smiling but no longer breathing. I scream "MOMMY!!"& in an instant, one of the Nine appears over the portal. He locks eyes with me "mi hija (my daughter), I have done much wrong allow me to do what is right. You too have the power, release me." He now turns to stare at Luna. "She is my mate. I have done much wrong, Luna. Allow me this." The pain in his wulf speaks aches in my chest. Luna, who has Crimson by his side, loses his Celestial form becoming more solid. It glues Luna's red-black eyes to us, he nods. In unison, we join wulf speak as I lead the chant. Luna, Crimson, Celestra, Estrella, Beta, and I speak as one.

"Your debt is paid. I release you from your service; it has erased the past your present before you. go in peace and give life to your mate." At this point, everyone stops speaking except me "for I Alinita Acosta Necromancer Princess send you in peace and goodbye.......... Papa." Belie turns his head to look at me fully as his essence disappears thru the portal down into mom.

As he is fading, his body returned to facing Luna and his head originally on me, now its gaze to Luna. proudly he arches up his head and says, "I was always proud of you. My son" His words trail off for a sec. Yet his intent comes forth to who they were intended "and you have always been mi otrohijo (my other son)Alejandro."

Luna howls the most mournful howl ever to be heard at hearing those words. His pain is evident. Crimson, who had left his side momentarily to check on Kodiak and Kerval, goes back to Luna immediately and is at his side as Luna replies "and you were always a father. Tio (Uncle)" 

A sudden single moonbeam shoots downward covering and enters the portal. I see my father's astral form reappear, then it is being carried away, by the same moonbeam from the portal simultaneously becoming corporeal as he lands now on the ground, his spirit becoming Flesh and blood. The goddess speaks to us all

"Death Does not smile on you Belie I do. I return what I never meant to have departed." then "return Fenrir  of the icelands for your mistress awaits your presence ."

We all look down at Mom, nothing. As we watch, we see from within the portal a powder blush essence rises. It positions itself above the portal now growing, becoming whitish blue as it continues to grow and take form. An ICE WULF as big as CEREBUS now looks down. "My My mistress, at last, I have come home to you." He steps off the portal walking over to mom's head. Lowering his enormous head he breathes breath into Mom saying "Awaken Necromancer Queen. We are free and SHE is more beautiful than we imaged." turning his eyes up once more.

Then we see it happen. Mom's body sucks in a long-labored breath and breathes more than Titi, Carmen & myself restraining our emotions, close the portal. Forever sealing Cerebos inside his home with his rightful mistress. That done, I drop to the ground weak from the exertion but crawl over to my mother's head. I again take her head placing it in my lap. Tears coming down falling to her fur. Fenrir' ice-blue eyes glow, turning a brilliant powder sky blue as he breathes a second ice wind on mom "heal...... My friend."

From his ice breath and his word. The mist from his breath engulfs mom's body causing it to glow. The mystic sigils placed on her body float off her like cigarette vapors into the air before evaporating to nothingness. Charred skin heals as first, her skin returns to its natural color followed with fur coming forth like grass to cover it.

Throughout moms' whole body, sigils float off, burned skin once more becomes healthy, and she taunts sickly appearance changes. As Fenrir's breath continues entering through Mom's mouth into her body, it fills out. Returning her to her powerful physical form and weight. Just like she-wulf in my dream.

We all watch as Centella now opens her eyes and rises on all four paws before me. I am a ball of tears. First gazing she licks my tears as I throw my arms and embrace her for the FIRST TIME. Her wulf speak is powerful, gentle, tender with love "Hey, hey ya para quelloras mi Bebe (and why are you crying my baby)" Then mom phases and for the first time in years I feel her warmth, arms, strength, and love as she hugs me. 

I remember I remember what it is like..... to have my mother.
