Rustling the newspaper in his hands, Charles briefly looked over the top and looked towards the small corridor which had rooms petering off of it. From one room in particular there was quiet laughter. He didn't wish to know what Raven and Margo were up to. Though, as he turned a page and skimmed through job listings, he was pleased. Pleased more so for Raven. He knew how much she disliked being in the apartment all the time, and how his company must be rather tiring after a while so it was good that she had someone – though Margo was more or less the same age as him – to spend time with. Someone who she could find common ground in.
Returning back to his morning read, Charles turned the page and stopped. Folding the paper up he stood and walked slowly away from the sofa. Reaching up when he came to stop outside of the door which still had laughter emanating from it, he knocked slowly.
It was Raven's face which peeked round. “Yes?”
“May I?” He gestured to the door.
Raven looked at him sceptically before nodding and opening it more. She could see something was troubling him, and she wasn't going to openly question him. She turned and sat down on the bed again. Between them both, the two females had strewn magazines around the room, and items of make-up had been picked up and then discarded. It seemed they were having a proper girly morning in here.
There was a simple chair in the room which had Raven's coat draped over the back, and it was this chair which Charles slowly sat down in. “What's wrong?” Raven asked while crossing her arms. Beside her Margo looked around a little confused.
“Did you make your escape public?” He asked and then frowned lightly. “More public than it already was?” He corrected himself. She already made it public by jumping off of a roof and awkwardly trying to hover down the street.
“Why?” Margo asked as innocently as she could.
It was clear he wasn't believing her innocence because his eyes narrowed. Turning the paper in his hands he held it up for them to see. Raven's eyebrows rose, “You set everyone free?” She said and then couldn't help but laugh. It was something which didn't seem to get appreciated by Charles as he looked sternly at his sister.
“Well...you see,” Margo said while fidgeting. “It was an accident. I just happened to accidentally open the doors as I pass. And I mean, if I’m to escape I needed someone covering my back...”
Charles just looked at her, at least she was honest, though her honesty left him at a slight loss. Blinking slowly he shook his head. “You're the only one which has been listed as missing.”
“Everyone else has been taken back?”
“Yes.”
“Oh.” Was Margo's only response. She didn't know what else to say on the matter.
“Wait,” Raven piped up, she lowered the magazine she had taken to reading. This cause for alarm didn't wholly interest her. She thought Margo's escape and effort at releasing everyone was good, a part of it was funny, but for the most part it was good. “That'll mean they'll be looking for you.”
Charles nodded slowly, it seemed someone was finally picking up on the seriousness of this. “But I’m not dangerous,” Margo said, the two looked at her. “Oh, well, not so much anymore.” She whispered awkwardly. “You're not going to tell them I’m here, are you?” She asked suddenly tensing on the bed and looking around worriedly.
“No,” Charles smiled and placed the paper in his lap. “We wouldn't do such a thing.” He paused. “Though, this is problematic.”
“How big is the search radius?” Raven asked sensibly.
“It doesn't cover Oxford.”
“So you're worrying for what reason?” Raven sighed, she rolled her eyes at his slight dramatic moment.
“Because Margo's entrance into Oxford was noticed by quite a crowd. Sure, they may not have seen her fully to get a description. But,” at this he looked at the paper and ran a finger over the sentences until he found the one he was looking for. “'Highly dangerous, prone to volatile out bursts. Do not approach. If spotted, call the authorities.' Is enough I’m sure to recollect some people's memories of that night.” Raven still looked a little confused.
“I pushed people into the road and out of my way.” Margo explained while looking up at the blonde by her side.
“And that's deemed 'volatile'?” She smirked, she wasn't taking this moment seriously really. “Look, no one knows she's here. You already said your family won't be looking for you. So how long do you think the police are going to keep this up? There are other crimes to be stopped, after all. One patient on the run will only be in the news for a while before something else replaces it.”
Charles just looked at her simply. “You make it seem so simple.” He commented while standing up and tucking the paper under his arms.
“Because it is.” Raven smiled and crossed her arms.
“You're going back on your words aren't you?” Margo asked sadly, both of them looked to her. “You're not going to let me go out, are you?”
“I can't, you can't, I am sorry, Margo.” Charles said while looking at her. “Truly I am. But if someone spots you, you will be taken away.”
“You wouldn't try and help me out?” Margo frowned.
“They'd take you to some other secure hospital.”
Standing up Margo ran her hands through her hair, she walked to the window and looked out. Raven shot Charles a look. She could understand where he was coming from. Helping her out, if the worse case scenario happened, would render them being known. And that was something Charles had tried his hardest to dissuade for such a long time. But even still, was Margo not their friend? And friends help each other out.
“All right,” Margo said at length and looked over at them. “If shutting me away in this apartment will keep me safe, so be it.” She said while walking forwards. “But shutting me away never really ended well. Just ask the staff at West Parks.” She walked past Charles.
“Well done,” Raven sighed.
“What? I’m just trying to be cautious.” He said seriously. The two of them sharply turned though when there was a slam. That slam happened to be the front door.
“Well done,” Raven repeated as she ran out of her room along with him.
“Where would she go?” Charles asked as they left the apartment too. Was it a lot to ask for Margo to just be outside in the corridor calming down? Clearly it was because she wasn't here.
“I don't know.” Raven admitted. They never went to anywhere specific when they went out, so where Margo could be lord only knew.
