“How did you lose them?” Erik asked while at his side Charles sat practically seething, his eyes were firmly on him. Eventually Erik looked up and met his gaze with a blank calm look of his own.

“The treatment for my spine effects my DNA.” Charles replied in an explanatory tone which was also tinged with anger.

“You sacrificed your power so you could walk?” Erik asked incredulous to what he was hearing. He looked to Charles with a puzzled disbelieving look.

“I sacrificed my power so that I could slee...what do you know about it?” Charles said while sounding disheartened and sad only to return to the blunt tone he was using moments ago. He looked out of the window to his side.

“I've lost my fair share.” Erik said while looking to Charles as he returned his attention to him.

“Huh. Dry your eyes, Erik. Doesn't justify what you've done.” Charles said hollowly with an equally hollow smile.

“You have no idea what I’ve done.”

“I know that you took the things that mean the most to me.” Charles said while sitting forwards in his seat and hardening the look he was sending Erik's way.

“Well maybe you should have fought harder for them.” Was the stoic response given.

“If you want to fight, Erik...” Charles drifted off and slowly stood from his seat. Erik looked at him passively while standing slowly too.

“Sit down!” Logan exclaimed from the background. The sudden raised voice caused Margo to stir. She had finally settled enough to drift off for five minutes only to wake to high tension and arguing. She turned in her seat only to watch as Charles charged at Erik and grabbed him by the front of his shirt.

“You abandoned me! You took her away and you abandoned me!” Charles shouted while slowly faltering backwards. The plane around them gave a slow wheezing groan, the metal slowly buckled and dented. The plane was decompressing, slowly falling forwards with Hank desperately trying to keep it from fully descending behind the controls.

“Angel, Azazel, Emma, Banshee. Mutant brothers and sisters, all dead!” Erik listed off while managing to be the only person still stable in the slanting plane. “Countless others, experimented on, butchered!”

“Erik!” Charles shouted while slipping backwards and gripping onto anything which would fully stop him from falling to the ground.

“Where were you, Charles? We were supposed to protect them! Where were you when your own people needed you? Hiding! You, Hank, pretending to be something you're not!” Erik exclaimed irritably, he couldn’t for once lump Margo in with the two of them. At least she hadn't stooped to the level of blocking her powers. He continued to glare at Charles while the plane continued to groan and shudder as it still fell downwards towards the ocean below.

Looking over his shoulder he looked to where Logan and Margo sat. Frowning, Erik was rather irritated to say the least that Margo hadn't stooped to Hank and Charles's level and taken the serum. She could not rectify the metallic damage which was being done, but she was able to put her powers to some use, pushing up and against the buckles which were slowly appearing on the busting metal. For a moment the plane lifted, only to continue to drop when he twitched a finger and something went hurtling towards her. With a yelp she fell backwards from her kneeling position in the chair only to end up being caught by Logan. He kept a grip somehow on her shoulders and on the armrest. The last thing they needed was for them both to go falling down the plane aisle, Charles alone was almost hanging on for dear life without them two adding to it.

“Erik!” Hank shouted from the cockpit.

“You abandoned us all!” He said while letting out a low breath and listening as the plane righted itself and went back to its original flight course. With one last narrow eyed look Charles managed to find his feet and swiftly turn to walk into the cockpit.

“So you were always an asshole.” Logan said while helping Margo to sit back in her seat. She rubbed her head and frowned deeply, though that clearly hurt because she winced.

“I take it we're best buddies in the future.” Erik said lowly while turning and looking to Logan.

Taking to lighting a cigar, he let out a dry laugh. “I spent a lot of years trying to bring you down, bub.”

“How's that work out for you?”

“You're like me, you're a survivor.” Logan replied while placing the cigar between his lips and looking out of the window and at the clouds which were blissfully rolling past.
