“Excuse me for the lack of optimism here.” Margo had quite simply stated with an awkward smile. On a plane, again, and her nerves weren't exactly settling for it. Short flight or not, she still felt hesitant.

“There is one person missing who would make the flight a lot more hectic.” Logan couldn't help but comment with a smirk as he settled into the seat he had sat in before. Erik and planes was something best avoided he had rather quickly noted, even before his previous moment of almost causing them to crash.

Margo shuffled down the aisle and swung her arms by her sides. “Hm.”

“That didn't sound encouraging.” Logan leant his chin against his hand and looked up at her as she turned on her heels and looked to him.

“That's because it wasn't meant to be encouraging.” Margo said simply with a shrug before collapsing in a chair and watching as Hank aided Charles onto the plane. She smiled up at the two of them before looking back at Logan.

“Are you secretly a pessimistic person?” He couldn't help but ask. Since meeting her she'd been mostly all for looking on the bright side of life.

“I'm pessimistic when I’m thinking over things I’d rather not think about.” Margo replied. She didn't wish to think about travelling to Washington. More so when it involved stopping her friend from possibly doing something highly idiotic which could warrant in not only her getting hurt, but possibly killed. Along with bringing down the whole mutant species.

“If you say 'don't think' I will throw something at you.” Margo said while it looked like Logan was going to sarcastically reply. He smirked and held his hands up while leaning back in his seat.

“Give it your best shot,” Logan started to say, Margo looked to him with a smile which was returned with a smirk. “Because many have tried such a thing before, and many have failed.”

“Well when given a challenge-”

“Can you two not start a possible fight whilst we're about to set off?” Charles asked with a quick glance sent their way before looking out at the tarmac of the runway. It seemed for the most part both had forgotten that he was actually present.

“I never mentioned the word 'fight', Professor. Did you, Margo?” Logan asked while looking to her.

“I said challenge. That is a lot different than a fight, Charles.” She peered around her chair and smiled brightly at him.

“You both knew what I meant.” He rolled his eyes good naturedly.

With a sidewards look sent in Logan's direction, Margo slipped out of her chair and shuffled over to the chair opposite to the one Charles sat in. Sitting down with a quiet sigh she leant on the table in front of her and smiled up at him.

“No trouble,” she whispered while he shook his head.

“Only because you're over here, does not mean you won't still find trouble for yourself.” He whispered while leaning down slightly and looking at her lightly.

Margo looked at him with mock surprise. “I do not get into trouble often.” She whispered with a pout. She shut her eyes only to open them again when he let out a quiet chuckle. “You misjudge my moving here completely then.”

“Oh?” Charles asked with a raised eyebrow. “So you are not here to avoid further oncoming challenges set by Logan?” At this he glanced to the man in question who just smirked and continued to lean against his hand and look out of the window. He was evidently aware of their conversation, even though they were speaking quietly. That and well, it was hard to not listen when in such a small space as the plane cabin.

Margo opened her mouth to reply seriously, only to close it again when Charles looked at her knowingly. She awkwardly laughed and sat up and away from the table. Extending her arms she rested them across the surface and held her hands out to him. He looked at her curiously before placing his hands over hers, only to suddenly get gripped onto.

“I am not here to act as stress relief, Margo. May I remind you that you are fine? Each time you have flown you have been fine.” Charles said as reassuringly as possible while she clutched onto his hands. The slow judder of the plane going upwards did little to help, it caused her grip to tighten on him more.

She looked to him firmly. “Fine? Fine?” She said and then repeated in a tenser tone. “Have not! You little fibber,” she scolded and squeezed her eyes shut when the plane had some turbulence. “Oh fine, perhaps there has been one flight which was fine...but most of the time there's always been interference.” Margo said awkwardly, crashing in a beachy strip of land in the Cuba incident came to mind quickly as she shook her head.

“For someone who revels in flying, you are such a nervous flyer.”

“That's not helping!”

“I am merely saying, my dear, that you are awkward.”

“And you're being smug and condescending right now, but hey! Don't see me promoting that fact.”

Charles sent her a faked pained look. “Oh Margo, you can be so hurtful, who knew?”

She looked to him with a frown then. Humming she slowly pulled her hands away, or at least she slackened the grip yet still held on lightly. “You should know, love, that I would never so openly hurt you.”

“Just my pride?”

“Hm, well,” Margo smiled and shrugged. “Yeah.”

Charles laughed and shook his head. “You are honest, I shall give you that.”

“One thing you can guarantee on me for.”

“Are you two always like this?” Logan's voice piped up from the corner, Margo peered around her chair and Charles just looked over at him with a smile. “Seriously?” He said in a lower tone while rolling his eyes. “The flight to Washington is gonna be a hell of a lot longer if I’m going to have to listen to you two going on.”

Rolling her eyes back at Charles, Margo raised her eyebrows and smiled. Tilting his head to the side he cottoned on to what she was hinting at. Teasing Logan perhaps was not the nicest thing to do, but it would pass some time.

(A/N: I’ve realised this is nearing the end. It's just hit me. I’m also here to shamelessly promote the fact that the new Charles fic is up, two chapters so far, but it's something. The lack of anything happening on it is not really motivating me to continue it but meh. Any way, yeah, so like, this is nearing the end, idk whether it'll end in the next chapter, or the one after. But yeah. How strange. I’ll miss this once it's finished. Also, sorry this is just filler crap. Sentinels deserve proper justice – hence a new chapter. xD)
