Christmas arrived except for Uncle Nixon and his family not being here. Uncle Noah was not happy. Not only were we celebrating Niall and Noel's birthday but Christmas, too.

"I can't believe this," Noah huffed.

"Settled down. It's not like Nixon planned this," Dad said.

"It's just bullshit! He should be here!" Noah exclaimed.

"And you should be quiet, you twit," Nixon exclaimed. We all turned to see Nixon, Kat, Kaiden, and Kain, standing there with bags in hand.

He walked over to Noah. "Do you have any idea what I went through to get here so you would stop whining? I had to endure smelly people, and someone bugs me for a foot massage. Then I had to catch a flight back with delays only to get back and try to hunt down a cab. Since it's Christmas, no one is available. Then I had to listen to some dude play shitty music all the way here. So, quit your bitchin, Bucky," he huffed as he dropped his suitcase and walked over to the couch.

He sat down and closed his eyes, then before we knew it, we heard snoring.

Noah looked at Nash, who shook his head. "Be happy he's here. Because if you wake him, you can deal with him."

Well, Uncle Noah wanted Nixon there. Noah said nothing about him being awake.

We all celebrated the twin's birthday first, then celebrated Christmas. It was interesting. I stood by the tree, looking at it when I felt arms wrap around me from behind. I didn't need to ask. I already knew.

I turned to see Piper looking at me with a smile on her face. I placed my hands on her face and pulled her into a kiss. I could never get enough of her kisses.

While we kissed by the tree, Luna strolled over to Major.

"Hi," Luna greeted Major.

He turned and looked at her and said, "Hey."

"So, I gave some thought about what you said, and I wouldn't mind going shopping if you still wanted to go," she smiled.

He looked at her as she stood there. Awkwardness filled the air as her smile slowly faded.

"Um, you know what, never mind," she said as she retreated away from him.

"What was that about?" Maverick asked, walking up to Major.

"It's nothing. I don't want Luna to get the wrong idea." He shook his head.

"The wrong idea about what?" Maverick asked.

"I like her, but I have a feeling if we spend time alone together, she will get the wrong idea. I promised her dad I would wait, but she makes it hard," he sighed.

Maverick looked at him and sighed.

Piper

I saw Luna walk over to Major out of the corner of my eye, but something didn't seem right. Then before I knew it, she turned and walked away, looking defeated.

I looked at Lex. "I'll be right back."

"Okay," Lex said.

I walked into the kitchen and saw her standing there, looking out the door wall into the backyard.

"Luna?" I said, getting her attention.

She turned and gave me a soft smile, "Oh, hey, Piper."

I walked over to her. "You okay?" I asked.

"Yeah," she sighed.

I stood next to her. "You sure?"

"No, not really; Major offered to take me shopping but now acts like it was a mistake, which makes me think, I'm a mistake."
