Nixon
Damn, the holidays have been crazy about weddings. I had to make sure I scheduled weddings around everyone's birthday, which landed on the freaking holidays!
Sitting in my office, I was checking my calendar to see what was coming up when I heard Kaiden yell, "Yo, old man! You got Queer Eye For The Straight Guy to see you!"
A looked formed on my face. What the hell is wrong with my kids? I swear Kat dropped them both on their heads as infants.
I heard a knock at the door as I heard someone say, "Reverend Gray?"
I looked up to see two guys standing there.
"Yeah?" I asked.
"My name is Maximo Roman, and this is my boyfriend, Nick Smith. We wanted to talk to you about performing a wedding," Maximo said to me.
I waved them in and motioned to them to sit down. Once the two guys sat, "Whose wedding is it for?"
"My Niece, Mia Salvatore," Maximo answered. "After many years of being together, they're finally getting married." He said to me, shaking his head.
"They sure liked to take their time. I mean, it only took for Caleb to lose his memory to ask her finally," Nick said to me, chuckling.
"That's true, but at least they are finally getting married," Maximo added.
I looked at them. "Let me get this straight," both looked at me. "No offense, but you're telling me the groom lost his memory?" I arched an eyebrow at them. "That sounds like my sister-in-law, although she never got her memory back entirely. Eh, she's still crazy." I shrugged.
They looked at me.
"So, tell me where you're from because you're not from Michigan," I said to them.
"We're from LA," Maximo said.
"Figures because no one here has a tan. We're all pasty white and shit," I motioned at them. "Now, how did you hear about me since you're all the way out in Lala land?"
"From Marco, he said he knew someone perfect for the job. And he also added that he was insanely hot," Nick said, chuckling.
"I'm hotter, right, babe?" Maximo asked Nick, and Nick smirked.
"That you are, no offense, Reverend," Nick said to me.
"But you are cute, that help?" Maximo asked me, innocently.
I gave them a look. "Listen, Tinkerbells, I don't know what Marco told you, but I don't swing that way. I'm happily married to a woman. Where the hell is Kaiden when I need him?" I mumbled to myself.
They looked at me as I let out a deep breath, "Okay, so we know that some yahoo who lost his mind wants to marry another yahoo, who is your niece, right?" I arched an eyebrow. I didn't understand how they could be around the same age as each other, but you know how it is out in California. They do some crazy shit.
"Okay, when is the wedding?" I asked.
"In a week," Nick said to me.
"Please tell me you perform entertaining ceremonies. I can't deal with boring ones." Maximo sighed.
"I'm with you there; we want something that will keep us awake," Nick said, grinning.
I looked at them as I heard someone say, "Then you came to the wrong place."
We turned to see Frick and Frack standing there with big ass grins on their face.
"Don't you have some poor girl to torture or something?" I asked them.
