I woke up at around 9:30 in Will's arms. It took me a few moments before realizing what had happened the night before. I looked down at the bandage on my arm. The white cloth had a large amount of blood on it. I then remembered everything else.
I looked up at Will and realized. I couldn't die. If he cared enough about me to sleep on this gods-awful couch, he must care about me enough to not want me to die.
I couldn't die. I wanted to live for him.
I held back tears and blinked them away quickly before Will had started to stir. He looked down at me and gave me a smile before kissing my forehead. I leaned my head on his chest. His hair was all messy and I don't think I'd ever seen anyone looks so peaceful when they woke up.
"Mornin' D-"
"Don't call me that," I laughed weakly.
"Whatever," He kissed my forehead again. I didn't realize how much I loved forehead kisses. "What ya got planned for today?" He smiled.
"Hazel needs help painting, that's pretty much it, you?"
"Nothing, I need to get my car though,"
"Yeah," I agree as I slowly fall back to sleep. I wake up to Will sitting up, making sure I don't fall by keeping his arms wrapped around me, so we were now facing each other, myself in his lap. "Hungry?" I asked. Carefully getting out of his lap.
"Yeah, whatcha making?" Will asked getting up after me. He stayed very close to me which I didn't mind, but I was confused why.
"What do you want?" I ask, looking through the cabinets and fridge, not for anything particular.
"Whatever's easiest,"
"Easiest would be eggs, but I don't want eggs, so french toast?" I ask.
"Sounds great, I need to grab my truck, I'll be back," His chest was pressed against my back and he kissed my cheek before walking away.
"It'll be waiting for you!" I call out as he walks into his room. I pull out all the ingredients and turned on the oven as Will walked out.
Will was back right when the food was done. He was caring the bag he'd always had under the seats. He plopped the bag down on the ground near the couch. He walked over to me and we sat down at the island. I had already made coffee and Will tea.
Will poured way too much syrup all over his food and I laughed as it flooded his plate.
"There was this really weird guy who asked about you, said he saw you the other day, apparently he works at the UNIVERSITY," He emphasized University. "and was wondering where you were,"
I shrugged my shoulders. "I'd never seen any of my professors anywhere but at the university,"
"Really? He seemed pretty interested in you, maybe it's a sign you should go to class more,"
"All the most famous people were drop-outs," I tell him, smiling a bit. I made sure while I ate to hide my bandaged arm. He knew it was there but I didn't want to display it.
"Really?" He asked raising an eyebrow. "Name three,"
"Micheal Dell, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, that's just the most well-known ones, there are many more, there like billionaires,"
Will looked at me for a minute trying to think of a comeback. He eventually closed his mouth and began eating again, dropping the subject. I smiled, knowing I won.
Once we finished breakfast, Will washed our plates and placed them in the dishwasher. We walked over and sat on the couch, I knew Will would ask to see my arm eventually, plus I really needed to change the bandages, but at the moment, I was really enjoying sitting on the couch with Will, his arms wrapped around me, his chin resting on my head.
