||A week later||

"Where's Jase?" I ask as I walk into the diner, Annabeth was doing something on the cash register and the other chef was doing whatever she was doing, I wasn't really looking much into it, besides the fact she wasn't Jason.

Annabeth sighed. "He is," She dragged out the 'S' as she placed a hand on her hip and blew some hair out of her face. "Taking a personal day,"

I grabbed my apron off the hook and my face scrunched up in confusion."Is he okay? He's seemed a little distant lately,"

"I honestly don't know, Piper leaving him messed him up bad, he and my boyfriend have disappeared somewhere and that somewhere has no cell reception, so that's great," She says, banging the keys on the cash register a little harder than she had too.

"Oh," Was all I said and Annabeth walked around to tie my apron without me even having to ask.

"Yes," Annabeth sighed. "So, I would like to forget about the fact I haven't had sex in four days, and let's talk about you,"

I was slightly taken aback by the blonde's outburst but decided to just laugh awkwardly. "If you haven't had sex in the past four days, I'm not sure how much help hearing about my painfully awkward romantic relationship with Will, and how literally if Cupid came down and shot me," I said, gesturing with my hands. "I still couldn't talk with him, it's literally so horrible,"

"Oh, it can't be THAT bad," Annabeth laughed. "Also how's the wound?"

"Hurts like a mother fucker, anyway want to see? Because, it's pretty fucking bad," I say, pulling out my phone from my jean pocket.

Annabeth took my phone and smiled. "Is this a big moment for you? This is a moment? Trusting me with your phone? You're growing up so much - damn bitch, you need a new screen protector, what do you do? Fucking play darts with it?"

"You're taking nothing, and turning it into something, and i'll just wait till I get a new phone before I buy a new protector, it seems like a waste of money, and now I got damn bills to pay, anyway, just read this morning conversation,"

Annabeth rolled her eyes but had a smile spread across her face. "Sunshine?" She laughed.

"Shut up," I said, already regretting my decision, "and i've gotten better, i used to have to google what to say,"

Annabeth dramatically winced. "Dude,"

"I know, I know,"

Annabeth began laughing. "I hate hot weather, i need it to be cold, when do you leave for work?' Nico, this is horrible,"

"I know it is," I complained. "I literally suck at it, because I get all nervous and stressed and you would think I'd be better at it, because we've known each other, but nope, I'm a mess,"

"A mess," I repeated, dragging out mess.

"Yeah," Annabeth laughed, handing me back my phone. "Like it's pretty bad,"

"Thank you for your words of encouragement,"

"Anytime, but seriously, why don't you just call him? Ask if he wants to go somewhere, you know - like a date? You know what that is, don't you?"

I rolled my eyes. "Of course I know what that is, but it's more complicated than that, I was an ass to him, I don't know how to do things like that, you know? Dates? I'm just not very good at things like that, the romance and whatever, I make things painfully awkward,"

"You're like a romantic relationship virgin," Annabeth dead panned, and i'm not going to lie, I took offence to that.

"I am not!" I defended. "I'm just, not good at it! That doesn't make me a virgin, just bad at romance! I mean, what do you think I was doing with Will for the seven months we were together? Just, fucking all the time?" I laugh.
