Content warning: slight piper slander in this chapter. It's not really slander, but there is some slight questioning in her choices.

Everything was finally moved in. We had just bought all the new furniture we needed, and had everything laid out where it was going to go.

I walked into the office where I found Will trying to put together the desk, but was seeming to have some problems with reading the instructions. Laughing to myself, I walked over and kneeled down next to him.

"Having some trouble?" I teased lightly, looking at what he had going on and comparing it to the picture. He was doing so badly I couldn't even tell what step he was on.

He let out a nervous laugh. "Um, yeah, just a little." He dropped what progress he had made and pointed to step three. "I don't know what the fuck it's trying to tell me," He whined. I did my best looking at it, and almost found it ironic considering I couldn't actually read English until I was around 13. I could speak it fine, but reading and writing was a bit different.

However, I found the problem, which was made in step one. After helping him with that, he managed to do the rest with ease.

Before long, we had both desks up, pushed against opposite walls.

Now, technically, our apartment had all the furniture in it and all that was left to do was put everything where it belonged on said furniture. Books were still strewn on the floor, the new furniture came with a lot of trash that needed to be put away, and a few other things.

However, that could wait until morning, right now we both just wanted to sleep.

"What do you want for dinner?" Will asked, walking into the kitchen and opening up the fridge. It was more comical than anything considering the fridge was practically empty besides the two leftover slices of gas station pizza.

"Not that," I laugh, following him into the kitchen and looking over his shoulder. I noticed we also had a half eaten egg sandwich. Didn't want that either.

Will laughed. "Okay, then where do you want to go?" He said, turning towards me.

I thought about it for a while. "Mmmmmm McDonalds." I answered.

Will rolled his eyes. "Why do you like that place so much?"

I shrugged my shoulders. "Something about the plastic texture of their food brings me so much joy."

Will laughed and grabbed his keys off the island. "Off to eat plastic we go, then."

I smiled and followed after him, grabbing my jacket. Maybe most people didn't see that as some crazy gesture of kindness, but to me it meant a lot. It's like you're going to eat nasty ass food just because you know I like it? Wow. Marry me already.

We went down the elevator and walked out into the parking garage. I reached my hand out and made grabby hands for his, smiling a bit as he rolled his eyes and grabbed it. Though, it was kind of pointless considering we were just about to get into his truck and would have to separate anyway.

His truck was cold and I pulled my knees to my chest to warm up.

One thing about Will's truck, the heater doesn't fucking work. AC? Works like a champ. Heater? SOL.

"Hey, if you ever make it as a really big doctor-dude, you should get a new truck." I say, flopping my hood on.

Will shook his head. "No fucking way." He laughed as he backed up. Which, for the record... is oddly attractive and I can't explain it. "I wouldn't trade this truck for anything."
