900 READS! HOLY CRAP I DIDN'T THINK I'D EVEN GET 100, THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH A FREAKING LOVE YOU GUYS!! -XOXO LEAH
"Now I'm freezing cold," Will laughs as we both get out of the river.
"Good," I smile and lean my head on his shoulder.
"You are evil," He laughs.
"I know,"
We arrive at our camp, both shivering. We would have been warmer if the sun wasn't going down, and all direct sunlight was going behind the tall pine trees.
I put on my jacket, Will put on a shirt, but we both chose to stay in our swim trunks. Will was trying to assemble a fire and I was opening the bug spray. No way in hell was I getting West Nile out here.
After spraying myself the best I could I looked at Will, who had just swatted a mosquito off himself.
"Will, stand up please," I request. He saw the bottle in my hand and shook his head.
"The stuff makes me feel sticky," He replied, I rolled my eyes.
"Too bad, Solace, I don't want you to die of Malaria or something, stand up," I tell him, trying my best to pull him up by his collar but it didn't work, only cut off his airway.
He coughed before putting his hands up in surrender. "Fine, gods,"
I began to pray his front, then his back. I could have put less on, but his complaining added like an extra ounce.
He gave me a loving scowl and then went back to making the fire. "You know," He started. "If this damned stuff is flammable, I'm fucking screwed,"
"Not really considering you haven't gotten a single spark," I laugh.
Will let out a small laugh. "I set that one up didn't I?" He asked.
"Yeah," I laughed and sat down next to him. "What's for dinner anyway?"
"I was thinking Pop-tarts," He smiled at me. I rolled my eyes but didn't argue.
Finally, Will got a fire together and we both sat down next to it, it actually made everything 10 times warmer, which I was thankful for, because gods, it was cold. The darker it got the more the temperature dropped.
The fire was warm and welcoming and the chocolate Pop-tarts were also nice. It was around seven before I remembered leaving something in Will's truck. It was just the pillows and blankets so I would get them later.
The clearing gave a perfect view of the stars and in the background, you could hear the river running. It was honestly beautiful and I understood why Will rambled on about this place. The moon was shining brightly and the fire made everything just smell comfortable.
My head was leaning against Will's chest. He was like an extremely warm chair. He had his arms wrapped around me and I looked up, his freckled face was shining brightly because of the flames. He was so perfect.
He was like if you took hot and cute and just mixed them together. There was a bit, okay a lot, of dorkieness in him.
Extremely dorky. My dork. He was my boyfriend. Sometimes, I wanted to just tell him how much I cared for him. I didn't know how to say it and I hated that I didn't know how. He deserved to know how much I...loved him? Did I love him? Was that the word?
Did I love William Apollo Solace? Was that the word, honestly? I think I did. I didn't know when or how to say it, but I did love him.
