Depression is a monochrome rainbow
seven shades of misery
hiding behind a fabricated smile
cloaked in clouds of silent suffering
illuminated by a black sun
radiating obsidian tendrils of false light
blanketing the invisible cage around you
in inky rays of empty warmth
steadily vaporizing your will to live
driving all your loved ones away
bleaching the color out of everything you see
and making a blank slate out of your hopes and dreams
