Alex's POV

After everybody else had fallen asleep I decided to walk to the river. I had too much on my mind to sleep. The sound of the rushing water filled my ears as well of the other sounds of the night. Just as the river came into view a small animal darted in front of me causing me to stumble back. Despite having most of yesterday to rest I still wasn't in full control of my body. I regained my stance and continued the few more step to the river. I could barely see in the dull moonlight, but I was able to spot a stable rock to sit on. I sat on the rock and began to think about everything and everyone.

I still don't trust Zayn. I know that he is supposed to be all good now, but I'm not really buying it. How could someone be bad for all of those years and then just automatically switch to good? They can't. But truth be told, Zayn's been nothing but good. Sure he has his share of sarcastic comments here and there but other than that he's been an angel. It's hard to believe, but maybe he really has changed. I guess he can stay for now, not that we have a choice, but the second he does anything wrong he's dead. And I mean it. Now, what about Theo? I mean Sammy knows him and all but can we trust him? He seems like a good person and having one older person around might be good. But on the other hand, he could be bad and could cost us another person that we don't have. I sighed to myself and balled my fists in my hair. Why does all of this have to be so complicated!? Thomas is still missing but there is nothing we can do about it because we can't get out of here! If Aunt Carol is really behind all of this she better hurry up and help us! Why would she go through all of this trouble of giving us visions of this weird guy and coded messages if she was just going to let us die out here? Wait a second. How did Theo get out here?Like sure he is a dragon and can fly, but there is no way he could have found us without help. We know he's not an other because we already found all of the others. So we know he didn't get a note to come here like Zayn. That means he had help from someone. Also meaning there's a way out! Incidentally meaning we can get Thomas back! I jumped off the rock and pumped my fist in the air at my awesome reasoning. Just as I was about to take off running to tell the others I heard a loud crash. Hoping it was just an animal and not another stalker dragon boyfriend I decided to continue to walk carefully back to the makeshift camp.

I took a few more step before I heard a familiar voice, "Ouch that hurt!"

I heard shuffling before I heard yet another familiar voice say, "Well it's not my fault! I never used the bracelet for that before!"

I was about to make a break for it before I heard the second voice say, "Come on Thomas we have to find everybody before daylight! You know what going to happen so we better hurry!"

Just as I hear Thomas' name I began to sprint to the source of the voices without even listening to rest of their conversation. I could still hear them a bit as I continued to dash through the thick forest jumping over tree roots as I ran. But then one important detail stopped me in my tracks. Who is the other voice? I know I've heard it before but from where? It sounded like a boy but not a man. Who is it? I was just about to pick up running again before I heard a low threatening growl. Sammy.

I began bolting through the forest as fast as my legs could take me before I could hear an almost inhumane voice demand, "Let him go!"

I ran faster than I ever had and was a few strides away from camp when I heard Lynn shout, "Give him back!"

Then right as I burst into camp I hear the voice say, "I can't until you listen!"

Just as I took my spot between a livid Sammy and an equally as angry Lynn I whipped around to face with Drew. Almost immediately my eyes turned coal black with disdain. "Why are you here?" I question through gritted teeth trying not kill him.
