Theodore's POV

I can't find her anywhere it's like she disappeared. She told me that we would talk three days ago about what happened but she didn't show up. I paced up and down the length of my bedroom thinking of more possible places she could be, but I already know she doesn't want to be found. Her foster parents are going crazy looking for her and her sister is breaking down. As for me, I feel nothing without her. I walked over to my messy bed and belly flopped down onto it trying hide from the facts. The police told us that they had at least three other missing persons reports on the same day as her. There were two boys and another girl. They said it happened right after everything went dark and there was that 'nuclear explosion'. I didn't believe that for a second, this has to be something supernatural. I really need to find her because I never got to tell her that I love her. I stood from my place of comfort and ran into the bathroom to look at myself in the smudged mirror. I looked myself in my desolate brown eyes and said, "Samantha Josephine Louis I will find you wherever you are. I will save you and then I will make the person who took you wish they were never born," my grip tightened on the countertop as I struggled not to let my wings extend, "Don't worry, my love, I will make them pay."

My eyes flicked to a vibrant orange at that last sentence, threatening to let my inner beast out. I turned on the cold water and splashed some water on my face forgetting that at the moment I was almost losing control. Due to that, the water burned more than 1,000 cobras releasing their venom into my skin. I screamed and groaned grabbing a washcloth to wiped off the water.

My mother came bolting up up the stairs yelling, "Honey are you okay?! She started to inspect my body until I pushed her away.

"Mom I'm fine," I insisted throwing the used washcloth in the hamper, "But I might be gone for a while after this." I brushed past her towards the stairs before she grabbed my arm with a tight grip.

"Where do you think you're going young man?" she demanded yanking me away from the railing. She tapped her foot impatiently awaiting a response, "Well?"

"I'm going to save Sammy! You know you can't keep me here just because you want to protect me!" I retorted freeing myself from her iron grip, "I'm a freaking dragon I think I can handle myself. Just because you're not supernatural doesn't mean I'm not! One more thing, I'm not going to be like my excuse for a dragon-father and lose the love of my life, I'm going to fight for her."

My mother eyed me with shock written all over wrinkled face before saying, "Just because you're supernatural doesn't mean you're invincible! You're only sixteen, you can't save the world! I won't let you go, you can't die you're still my baby!"

"I'm sorry I hate to do this mom but I have to find her." Before my mother could even think of a reply I stared into her old sorrow-written eyes and said, "You will give me the keys to your car and let me go find Sammy. You will not look for me and if anybody asks I went on a trip for school. Do you understand?"

My mother answered in her trancelike state, "I understand." She pulled out her car keys and handed them to me. "Goodbye, Theo Have fun on your school trip." She repeated before turning around and walking away.

I ran outside and jumped into the car turning over the engine and backing out of the driveway. I just got my license a little while ago and still wasn't a great driver but I was willing to take a chance for her. I felt really bad persuading my mother but I had too. I continued to drive down the traffic filled roads to somebody I knew could help me. Riley is able to tell you where anything or anyone is in the world, and the last time I checked she owes me a favor. I pulled up to her large house and stepped out of the car. I strutted up the walkway to the huge red door on the front of her cream-colored house. I balled my hand into a fist and rapped on the door with my knuckles. I waited for somebody to open the door, and right as I was about to give up all hope the door slowly creaked open.
