The next night, Odette woke up and looked around. She felt better and much more energetic than she had the past few days. Sighing happily, she turned over and found Jasper laying beside her, fast asleep. Blushing, she wrapped her arms around him and cuddled up to him.
"Huh?" He opened his eyes and glanced around groggily. Odette pretended to be asleep, her instinctual breathing slow and soft. He looked down at her and smiled, pulling her close and kissing her forehead.
"Jasper..." She mumbled sleepily, suppressing a smile.
"What is it Odi?" He asked, looking down at her relaxed face.
"I... love you." She smiled in her 'sleep' and snuggled closer.
"I love you too Odi." He smiled and lifted her head to kiss her lips. Although she tried hard not to give herself away, her face turned red. Jasper noticed this and grinned. "Why are you blushing in your sleep?" He raised an eyebrow.
"Because." She said with finality, opening her eyes and looking up at him. "How did you sleep?"
He smirked and rubbed his nose against hers. "I slept fine, how did you sleep?"
She giggled. "I slept very well." When she remembered what had happened before she passed out, she looked down. "Thank you for listening to me."
"That is what I am here for, Odi." He smiled and nuzzled noses again. He rolled onto his back and stretched, noticing he still had his shirt off. He slowly pulled the covers up to cover his chest.
"Why bother silly?" She giggled again and sat up, stretching. "I feel really good today."
"Good." He pulled her back down and pressed his lips against hers, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her close until their bodies touched. "We could just slack off today."
"That sounds like a wonderful idea." She smiled broadly, her face still pink. "Though not before I go out and get some groceries." She smirked and pecked his cheek. He rolled his eyes slightly and leaned back onto the bed, pulling the pillow over his head. He let out a sigh and closed his eyes.
"You stay here and rest. You look so tired, you should try to get more sleep. I will go out and get everything. Okay?" She got up out of bed and tucked him tightly into the sheets. He had dark rings under his eyes and seemed paler than normal. Although this upset her, she tried not to show it and smiled down at him. "I will be back in a little while. Then our day of laziness shall commence!" Laughing she grabbed some clothes and left the room.

After what seemed like forever, Odette pulled the boat on shore and walked toward Jasper's car. She was surprised at how her muscles and joints didn't burn after rowing the boat all by herself. She felt tense, but not in pain.
"Must be vampire strength or something." She mumbled to herself, turning the key in the ignition. She had had a license for a few years now, but had no need to drive anywhere. As she drove into the city, she started getting more comfortable with the car; relaxing in the drivers seat. She turned on the radio, rolled down the windows and sang to the music. It was the middle of summer so the nights were still very warm.
Pulling into the 24/7 Supercenter, she locked up the car and went inside. There were quite a few people milling about with carts. She grabbed a cart herself and walked around, feeling people staring at her.
"Let's see... what do I need?" She asked herself, trying to ignore the other people. Vegetables, fruits, pasta and cans of soup were all thrown into the cart. When she went into the meat aisle, picking through some pork and chicken, six packages of steaks landed with everything else.
