-Titus-

I sat back safely out of Everest's way as she got ready for the evening... I could tell she was stressed and it was no doubt over her fucking father...the asshole. I wanted so badly to find him and bring him back to my basement, but I knew my father would never allow it as it would bring on a war between the packs...and if there's one thing my father stands by, it's the fact that we do not start wars...but we damn sure finish them.

"Shoes...shoes...ugh, Titus, which pair go better with my dress?" Everest asked in a slight hysterics as she held up two nearly identical pair of heels.

'Is this some sort of test?' I questioned my wolf, but he remained silent on the matter.

What if I said one pair over the other and she gets upset?

I decided to go with a more political approach that would surely appease her.

"My Luna, you will look lovely in whichever pair of high heels you wear this evening." I smiled but it fell away as I took in her deadpan look.

"Well, as sweet as that was, it doesn't help me choose." She sighed before she finally walked back into our closet and I let out a deep breath.

'I don't know how Heidi manages to always say the right thing?'

Everest finally emerged looking as radiant as ever, her hair loosely clasped back with an ornate bobble neatly holding everything in place, her make up was light and natural but I knew exactly how long it really took her to put this make-up on as she complained the entire time of my showering while she was doing her makeup that I was fogging up the mirrors.

I had rushed my shower and even skipped a shave and still she had remained in our restroom doing her face. Lastly was a very enticing dress that showed off her stunning figure...the same sexy body she complained about being too heavy. To which my response of "you're pregnant" wasn't the right thing to say apparently. The Deep Emerald gown was so long I couldn't even see which of the heels she had chosen to go with.

"Ready when you are." She smiled beautifully.

"You My Luna, look absolutely breathtaking."

She seemed to glow from my compliment and it's energy pulled me in towards her. I stole one kiss before I held my hand out to her. My grouchy pregnant wife was no longer here, right now I had my Regal and put together Luna. I sighed, I did not want to think of her like that, I've heard pregnancy comes with hormonal changes and no doubt tonight's events were stressful for her, so I turned to her.

"I'm sorry about this evening my Love...I should have consulted with you first."

She sighed, "It's fine, really...I understand that you're excited about the babies, as am I... It's just my father-"

"Is not here." I cut her off gently trying to assure her so she wouldn't worry, "And even if he somehow wormed his way into our home without a personal invitation from either of us, I would love nothing more than to remind him of his place...tonight is a dinner in celebration of you my wife, we must tell our guards of your pregnancy as you will now require a great deal more protection."

I watched as a slight sadness filled her face, I knew she wouldn't protest me on this, because for once it wasn't her that needed the protection just for my own worry...but she knew we needed to do what we could for the babies, and by extention her as well.

"While we have to tell them...I was thinking you can keep the details to yourself if you wish, no one needs to know they are twins, or when they are due and if it makes things easier you can blame the secrecy on me."
