-Lydia's POV-

My heart was racing with anger as I listen to my Mate growling his commands to our allies, a war was brewing and No one knew the bastard as well as I did.

Richard Kirkshaw.

He was the very Bain of my entire existence but I had to put that hatred to the back burner as I had to think quick. The chaos surrounding me mixed with the fear I now had for my daughter could easily cloud my mind...but I had to keep focused.

I had to think like Richard.

I got up and began getting a bag packed, my hands were shaking so bad I could hardly contain my wolf from coming out.

"Darlin' come back to bed." Victor sounded tiredly as he sighed and placed his cellphone back onto the night stand. "I know it's hard But I don't want you working yourself up over this."

"I'm not going to standby and lose another daughter." I growled.

"So you're leaving?"

I stopped and looked at him. "You don't know Richard...he'll have an airtight alibi and he's too damn smart to bring her here...I'm going up North."

"We need to stay here and look for her." He sighed.

"I'm telling you right now Victor, I love you but I need you to trust me, she's not here and she not coming here...and unless you order me to stay I am going to get my daughter."I was beyond heated, but I also felt bad now for speaking tomato like that...My dearest Victor, all he's ever wanted was my own happiness, that's why I knew he wouldn't begrudge me now.

"I would never doubt your judgement darlin' nor would I ever be idiotic enough to order my Luna about, but let me help you...at the very least, we have to tell Titus."

I nodded. "And I thank you Sugar, but honestly you will help me out the most by staying here." I could see he was ready to protest so I quickly explained what I needed him to do. "Fill Titus in on everything, get Richard; he'll be behind all of this but he isn't working alone, I have no doubts he's still here in the South to make it seem as if he had nothing to do with it, but rest assured he will be the fucking mastermind...I will work with Clinton when I arrive so please don't worry about me."

He moved from his side of the bed and walked over to me, he gently took one of my hands and placed it over his heart, and with the other he lightly caressed my face, "when it comes to you Lydia I will always worry, but I also told you long ago that I would always support you and our children."

He touched his lips to mine and no other words were needed as I collected my bag and took off.

It felt like forever before I finally got off the plane.

"Luna Pruitt?" One of Titus' men sounded as I exited the plane, "I-...Is the Alpha Supreme expecting you?"

"No," I admitted, "But where my daughter is concerned I hardly think and invitation is necessary."

"Forgive me." He sounded, embarrassed and conflicted. No doubt he had been given strict orders on not allowing outsiders in during a time such as this.

I could see he was young and loyal, no fault to him, a credit really. "Call The Alpha Supreme, I can wait."

A wave of relief washed over him as he withdrew his phone and didn't waste time, He spoke quickly and quietly before he hung up. "My apologize Luna Pruitt, The Alpha Supreme is awaiting your arrival at the pack house, please take my car as a sign of good will."

I nodded and accepted his keys before He held the door open for me and I started up the vehicle. Once inside the car I took off like a bat outta hell. It didn't take me long to arrive at the pack house and the servants and pack members alike were everywhere. Someone took my bag while a pack member welcomed me.

"Lydia my dear," The Alpha Supreme sounded as he hugged me, "I wish we could meet under better circumstances."

"Clinton, tell me everything." I nearly begged him.

He sighed before filling me on the night, "they were smart to grab her during her hunt, it's the only time Titus would ever be away from her, he was antsy all night too, so I have no doubt his wolf felt hers in trouble...I know he's blaming himself for not being there to protect her."

I shook my head, "Everyone knows he'd have done anything to have prevented that from happening had he had the opportunity to be there...but given the circumstances of the tradition...fucking bastard." I growled as I thought about Richard taking my daughter. "What kind of father would hurt his own daughter?" I asked as tears threatened to spill.

"Titus will find his mate." He tried to reassure me.

I shook my head. "I'll find her, she's here still...with permission Alpha Supreme have your men check with the airport on all flights in and out since the wedding...Richard the fuck-up that he is, is anything but stupid...he'd of come in when the rest of us flew in and laid low, by his time and scoping out his surroundings to set up his plan."

He nodded and pulled out his phone, he gave his men the orders and I began making my way to the back doors.

"Lydia, you're here and I will make sure my men work non-stop to find our beloved Everest, please, go upstairs and rest...-"

"Forgive my frankness Clinton, but if another person tells me to rest while one of my children is missing I am going to rip someone's tongue out...now please inform your men that I will be searching every inch of your forests here until I can find her."

He allowed a little smile to show on his face to my words as he gave his head a slight nod, "My men are at your disposal and no one will make the mistake again of getting in your way."

I was glad for it and moved on through the back doors. I felt the cold air sting my face and couldn't help but think about my daughter, pregnant and alone. I wanted to cry.

'No time for tears.'

I nodded to my wolf's words.

"I've already lost one...I won't lose another." I said determinedly.

'We have work...let me out.'

And with her final words I finally let go of my reign on her and let my wolf spring forward, I shook out my fur and gave my limbs a stretch before murderously stalking toward the heavily wooded area, I was here for my daughter and I wouldn't come back until she did.
