I didn't really know how to explain the whole situation to her. She hasn't been here that long and we don't really have time to explain the whole story to her. I've summed it up pretty well, but with all this weird stuff going on with Ethan, I don't even know where to start.

"I don't even know, Parker. So much weird stuff has been going on with Ethan lately. I'm just as confused as you are." I say honestly, running my hand through my hair and lying down on my bed.

"Just be careful, okay. From what I heard, it doesn't take much to get him riled up." Parker says, putting her hand on my shoulder and lying down on my bed beside me.

"I know. He's just been nicer lately. It's honestly scaring me. He's never been like this towards me. I really hope it isn't just when he's wasted, though." I groan, ending our conversation and passing out on my bed.

Parker and I both woke up early considering it was a Friday and we had to make it to school.

Yes, Parker stayed over on a school night. Big deal.

Parker had to borrow some of my clothes because hers were at home. She grabbed some leggings and a sweatshirt to borrow and we got ready.

"Good morning, girls." My dad says, setting his mug down, "I don't have time to make breakfast this morning so you two are on your own."

"Okay, thanks dad." I say, giving him a quick hug and grabbing two granola bars for the both of us.

"Ethan's probably gonna be awake and walking right behind us, he always comes out at the same time I do. I don't know if he does it on purpose or if it's just a coincidence but either way, you're warned." I tell Parker, looking up at the Dolan's house and walking past it quickly.

"Didn't think you were gonna get away from me, did you, Ana?" Ethan says from behind us, making my back shiver a bit, "Oh and look, you brought your little friend with."

"Shut up, Ethan." Parker says.

"Parker, don't," I whisper, trying to get her to calm down so Ethan won't touch us.

"What did you just say?"

"I said, shut up. I'm sick and tired of you being nice to her one minute and a complete and utter douchebag the next. Calm down with the mood swings." Parker says, turning away from Ethan.

Next thing I know, Parker was swung around and Ethan had hit her.

"Ethan, please don't hit her." I whisper, getting more worried about Parker than I am for myself.

"Speak up, princess." Ethan says as Parker gets up off the ground and slaps Ethan across the face.

"Anabelle, get to school." Parker says just as Ethan's about to swing again.

"No. Ethan, stop hitting her. Please." I say, looking down at the ground trying to ignore the sounds of the hitting and punching.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen him like this. No one, and I mean no one, speaks up to him. It's a death sentence in itself. She was calling more attention to us and I didn't want to be apart of it, but I wasn't going to leave her with him like that. I knew how to handle it, she didn't.

"Parker, just stop!" I yell, having a sudden outburst like that didn't only shock Parker and Ethan, but it shocked me too.

I had never yelled like that near either of them or anyone at school for that matter.

"Anabelle, I'm sorry." Parker looks at me with a slight sense of worry in her eyes.

"Can we just go." I ask

"Yeah, I'll catch up." Parker says. I know she was going to yell at Ethan once again, but I could care less at this point. It's not my problem anymore.

"You know, Ethan. You really got her hopes up. She actually thought you were nice. But you're still the fucking douchebag you were yesterday." Parker says, walking away from Ethan as he stands there in shock at what Parker had just told him.

"I would never be nice to that." Ethan says, pointing at me as my back is faced the other way.

"You really believe that? Ask her yourself, Eth." Parker says, patting his back.

I knew I was going to get caught in something again. I shouldn't have even walked away.

"Is it true? Because if you say it is, you're lying."

"It is true, tell him, Anabelle!"

The constant bickering between the two continued, neither of them letting me have a chance to speak.

"Yes." I say out of the blue

"Yes what?" The two of them both turn their heads towards me, waiting for a longer explanation.

"Yes, Ethan. You were being nice. You apologized. You don't need to tell me it didn't mean anything, I get that. But if you want more proof, ask Grayson. He was there." I say, running off towards the school so I didn't have to be apart of anymore bickering.

The school day seemed to have gone by quickly. Parker had to leave early because someone saw the mark on her face from Ethan.

Why does anyone even care at this point? It happens all the time.

I walk home alone, like every other day. The only other person that walks my way was Ethan, but he seemed to have been busy. Probably with Amanda. He wasn't walking home today, which was a relief. I wasn't in the mood to talk to him anymore today after what happened this morning.

I opened my door after I heard the knocking coming from it. There stood Ethan, with a grey sweatshirt and black joggers on.

"Hey, Anabelle, can I come in?"
