It's now been 13 and a half hours since Ethan and I kissed. I'm still in shock, to be honest, but I'm also curious as to if he ever told anyone yet or if he's keeping it to himself like I am. I feel like I should tell Parker, but I know she probably wouldn't approve. I'm lucky she can even tolerate me being friends with him. It's probably because of her undying love for Grayson. In fact, the two had finally come to the decision that it was, in fact, a date.
I'm glad they came to that decision. Everyone could see that they liked eachother and to be honest, I'm surprised they haven't gone on a date sooner. But it is what it is. Things take time. I would know.
Is it odd that I'm counting since Ethan and I kissed? Yeah, I guess. But I'm worried that after this, we won't talk like we used to.
I won't deny that I liked it, I mean it was Ethan after all. Not only is he a really nice kid once you get to know him, but he's also got some experience with girls.
I don't have any experience. Boys, girls, nada. I haven't ever been able to with Ethan constantly bullying me.
I probably wasn't a good kisser. But I mean what do I expect with my inability to have ever had my first kiss with Ethan in the picture.I sigh and walk into my kitchen, greeted by my father. "Hi darling. How's everything with you?"
I smile and take a seat, "It could be better."
-
"But you have to be honest," - I stop amidst eating my cereal, "If you think chicken is better than steak, you're stupid."
"You know, I'm going to have to agree. But venison is better than them all."
"True, venison is the be-" The doorbell rings and I stand up, hoping it is who I think it is, "I'll get it."
I open up the door and it is Ethan, just as I had expected. I move out of the way and let him in, "Dad! Ethan's here." I yell just loud enough so he can hear me, and I hear a quiet, "Okay." coming from the other room.
I smile and turn back over to Ethan, losing the smile that was on my face and becoming more serious by the second, "Yeah, E?"
"Can we talk? You know, about last night?" Ethan walks into my house more and it makes me back up. I nod my head, "That's what I figured. Go ahead." I wait for him to start talking and the longer I wait, the more nervous I get.
"I hope that didn't mess anything up between us. Because you know I really enjoy being around you, Anabelle." Ethan puts his hand on my shoulder and I slump down at his touch, "And I really enjoy being around you, Ethan. It didn't ruin anything. I mean, I don't think it did."
"It didn't, I promise." Ethan removes his hand from my shoulder and I walk farther into my house, eventually to my bedroom, where Ethan follows close behind.
I close my door as Ethan walks in and he laughs, "Don't you think your dad will be suspicious?"
"Who cares? Come sit." I pat my bed as I sit down and Ethan chuckles, "Oh, we're being sneaky, I see."
"He already knows you're here. He won't mind."
I lay down and turn on my tv, switching to Brooklyn Nine Nine and laying on Ethan's chest.
So much has changed in only a few months. Who could've imagined?
