Chapter 2
The next day, I woke up early as I unexpected. It was 4 am and I hella didn't know what to do. I hella know there aren't hella good shows on this time of the day - so I decided to type out my resume.
I was sitting on my bed with my comforter over my legs and my laptop over it. The heat underneath was already passing through the comforter and I have no hella idea how long I was staring at the bright screen of my laptop.
I finally started and typed Resume at the top center of the page. I started filling out: Name: Johnson, Paige Gilbert; Sex: sure-
Just kidding.
Don't do that, kids.
Sex: F; Age: 21 - and the list goes on.
When I finished typing, I checked the time - 6 am. Not that I'm a slow typer but, of course, I don't wanna miss out on Tumblr and Pewdiepie's new videos.
I saved the file and printed it, my printer being laid out on the black carpet below my bed. I was still too lazy to put it on a perfect spot.
After the sheet is being printed, I took it and dug into some boxes that contains some of my unused supplies then found a clear folder to seal it.
I walked onto the black-and-white tiles of the kitchen then placed the folder above the counter top that has four chairs on one side and also seperates the kitchen from the living room.
My parents - or maybe Paul was included - hid all the boxes of my stuff here last night but I decided not to put them anywhere yet. I will completely ignore them until Ellie finally arrives.
I retrieved my resume from the counter after I made coffee and breakfast then sat by the table to read it. It seems satisfactory and I almost convinced myself as if I was the boss itself.
As I finished my breakfast - except for my coffee - and put the plate on the sink, there was a knock on my door. I washed my hands for a second then sprinted towards it.
Ellie showed up in a shirt, sweatpants, and flipflops without anything. She beamed as she saw me and lunged for a hug.
Ellie is as short as me. Yep. Short as in 5'2 in height. She has the same wavy hair as mine, only black and longer. We're both pale actually but she doesn't have freckles on her nose like me. And just like with my mom, a few people thought we're sisters - sometimes even twins.
"Congrats, Paige!" She said and let go of me. She entered my unit, putting her hands in her pocket as she looked around. "Nice, nice!"
"Have you taken a shower?" I asked as I closed the door. "I mean did you just run up to here after you woke up?"
"No, I haven't and no, because I still ate breakfast and grabbed a newspaper." She said then brought out a roll of the newspaper from her pocket. Why didn't I notice that? Oh right, because Ellie is one of the greatest magicians I've ever known - though she isn't really.
I shrugged then she gave me the paper opened at the Job Ads page. "Thank you." I said.
She proceeded to the kitchen then found the messy things scattered on the floor. Her eyes widened for a second.
"Well, at least you have a few stuff." She stated before finding the folder on the table. "Is this your resume?" She pointed at the thing.
