Chapter 7

After the day out with the Schimdts, Ellie hung around in my unit at night. Ivan drove us back here while Trevor left and went to his home instead - not that I felt bad about it.

I suddenly remembered how our skins touched. Holy guacamole.

"Hey, why are you blushing?" Ellie snapped me out of my thoughts.

I gave her a glare. We were sitting on my bed, taking a rest from walking around the city. Both of our legs hurt and we didn't even wore heels.

"It's just that my boss fucking touched me." I said and laughed. I don't see Trevor as a love interest but just as a boss - a handsome boss who looks like a celebrity. Of course, if you made physical contact with someone famous, you'd be all crazy. But in his case, he's just a young and good-looking boss who everyone was swooning over. Yes, I like Trevor but not romantically unlike the others.

Ellie laughed at my reaction, tilting her head back with her hand slapping the covers of my bed. "Okay, you scored." She rolled her eyes. "You know, I really ship you both."

I cringed at her but replied with a better comeback. "I ship you and Ivan, too."

She widened her eyes and slapped my shoulder. "Shut up," she denied and I laughed. We both took a moment of silence to recover from the laugh.

"How did you meet Ivan, though?" She spoke seriously now.

I tried not to laugh agsin because if I did, she will only get mad at me. "I was in Trevor's office, returning his umbrella but he gave it to me anyway. I was about to leave when Megan and Ivan arrived. Megan introduced me to Ivan and that's it."

     "Who's Megan, by the way?"

"Oh, she's Trevor's sister. She's the model of Victoria H. If you try to see when you walk by their shop. She's the one with blonde hair." I described, picturing one of Megan's photo in my head.

"Oh, that girl!" She recognized. "Yes, I've seen her always."

"She may look very intimidating in her photos but she's the complete opposite of that." I added.

She nodded before asking another question. "Ivan is Trevor's brother, right?"

I knew she would be asking me more questions about Ivan so I let her since I find it amusing. "Half-brother," I corrected.

She snapped her head towards me. "How?"

I lay down on the bed facing downwards, my chin resting on my knuckles. "Megan told me. My theory is that they have the same father but different mother."

     "Where does he live?"

"He's from California from what I've heard."

"Why is he here? Doesn't he have a business there?"

     "He's here for summer."

"Do you think he has a girlfriend?"

     I smiled. I knew it.

"I don't think so." I shrugged. "Can I ask you something too?"

She turned to me, hugging the stuff toy that I always sleep with at night. "What is it? You're suddenly making me anxious."

"Oh, I'm sorry because it will really make you anxious." I said.

     "Just. Say it."
