"Lucy?"

Huh?

Everything is empty. All that's left is a dark, endless void. Everything's gone.

"Lucy, wake up!"

Except for a voice...

So familiar...

I become aware of the feeling of my hands, and I can feel the grass beneath my fingers.

Gradually, I start to feel the rest of my body, along with a number of blades of grass poking at the back of my legs and arms.

"Mmngh"

What happened? Where am I?...

The cliff!

I was traveling through the woods to get to the next town, and I had run into a pack of wolves. I ran away from some of them...and then fell off of a cliff.

I must have fallen through a thick layer of leaves and branches. They must have helped to cushion the fall...somewhat.

Slowly, feeling starts to come back to me. My face and the tops of my arms start to feel the warmth of the sun shining on them, and my fingers weakly grab hold of the grass beneath me.

"Lucy?"

All of the feeling throughout my body comes back. My back aches and my head has a constant rhythm of nothing but thumps.

"Ngh"

I groan and slowly start to open my eyes, wincing at the sunlight that beats down on me.

"You're awake!"

My body stiffens, finally comprehending the presence of the other person who was not originally traveling with me.

My fingers tighten around multiple blades of grass and my body moves cautiously.

I lift my head up, gazing at a figure sitting next to me, but with the pounding of the sun and the swarming in my head, my eyesight is too fuzzy, and I can't seem to make the person out.

"Wha..."

My words stop short as my head throbs in pain and my hand grabs at the side of my head roughly.

"Mgggh"

"Don't move! Just lay still, okay?"

The figure moves up towards me, and his figure blocks the sun. Dots of light still litter across my vision, and it takes a second for me to blink them away.

I take a couple of deep breaths, and my vision comes back into focus, the person in front of me becoming perceivable.

"..."

My mouth opens and closes, the familiar face above me leaving me completely astonished.

"...Natsu?"

He smiles his warm, boyish grin.

"Hey, Lucy! I'm here to help."
