"Well, would you look at that? We made it, and in one piece too!"

I don't say anything and step onto the stone path that starts just a little bit out of town.

It's weird.

I feel weird to be walking next to Natsu right now.

And there's a feeling of grief deep down that I don't want to think about.

But at the same time, I just don't understand how he's here, and curiosity is a nagging thing.

My feet stop moving and Natsu looks at me confused.

"Why did-"

"Natsu, how are you here?"

I have a feeling that he shouldn't be here and I don't understand how he is.

He just turns to start walking and shrugs his shoulders.

"Does it matter?"

I glare slightly and walk after him.

"Yes."

He stops and looks at me.

"When it's time."

His eyes stare into mine and I look away.

A strange feelings spreads through me.

"I-"

He continues walking, and without looking at me, he starts to speak again.

"Why do you keep running away, Lucy? It's not like you."

My eyes widen and I take a sharp intake of breath as a voice echoes in my head.

"Run, Lucy. Please just run away."

My hands turn to fists and my nails dig into the skin of my palms.

"You're not a coward Lucy."

"I'm not going to run! I'm not a coward, Natsu!"

My hands start to tremble and fear builds up inside me at the unknown memories starting to surface.

His words slowly start to push me over the edge and terrible feelings surface.

I don't want these feelings. I don't want these thoughts.

"You shouldn't feel so gui-"

"Shut up!"

I close my eyes, quickly repeating the same thing over and over in my head.

Forget about it. Forget about it. Forget about it.

After several minutes, I breathe deeply before opening my eyes.

I lift my head up again. Natsu stares at me with a somber expression.

"I'm sorry...something started to appear in my head...some sort of memory or something. I didn't want it."

He just nods his head as if he completely understood the nonsense I spoke of.

"I know, Lucy."

He turns forward and starts to walk along the path and into the small town.

I stand in my place a little surprised before jogging up. I fall into pace slightly behind him.

"That's it?"

He looks at me from the corner of his eyes and then glances back in front of him and shrugs nonchalantly.

"You aren't ready. You need more time."

Before I get the chance to ask what he's talking about, he whips around to face me swiftly, his mood doing a complete flip.

He looks at me seriously.

"Do you smell that?"

I raise an eyebrow.

"No..."

He smiles broadly.

"It smells fantastic! C'mon Lucy. Let's go to that restaurant over there! Your treat!"

He turns and starts to walk with light feet as his nose takes him to the one thing that always makes him happy.

I stare at his back as we walk along the street, following Natsu's lead as Natsu follows his nose.

Time for what?

Was two and a half years not long enough for whatever it is that he's talking about!

I shake my head.

No. It doesn't matter.

I don't want to know. I don't want to know about anything that has to do with all of them.

It's in the past and it shouldn't concern me.

I push it to the back of my head, completely dismissing it all.

A realization hits me.

"Wait!"

I run up to Natsu with an annoyed expression.

"Why am I paying?"
