Flashback Friday- Kennedy (short)

"Mr and Mrs Wright?"

Kennedy and Theo stood up and followed the doctor to see the ultra sound of their second child.

"Are you excited?" Theo held Kennedy's hand as he helped her to the room. TJ was with his grandparents for the weekend so the couple could get some time alone.

"Yeah, I am. I hope it's a girl!" Kennedy gushed and smiled with her hand on her belly. She was four months and already swollen in places she shouldn't be.

"So is the new big brother excited?" The doctor asked, "Not as much as us!" Theo laughed at Kennedy's excitement. She jumped at the cold gel on her stomach but calmed down when Theo grabbed her hand.

"So tell me about the pregnancy so far."

"Well I'm hungry always, I can tell you that! No change of moods like my last pregnancy but lately the baby haven't been moving. I mean she was never really active, but every now and then she used to kick and let me know that was alright. Now it's nothing."

"He! I still want a boy." Theo commented and received a chuckle from the doctor. The couple prayed that nothing was wrong with their baby but nothing has been happening for the last week or so.

"Well let's see what's going on..." he moved the infra red stick around and squinted his eyes. It was silent and Kennedy realized something

There was no heart beat.

"You hear that?" She asked the doctor but he shook his head slowly, "No..-" "Exactly! Where's my baby heart beat?" It got quiet as the doctor was just staring at the tv that showed what was a healthy baby.

"I'm sorry."
