Y/n POV

Kendrick drove the little kids, I drove the older ones while Makayla and Kennedy drove the luggage because due to their distressed minds, I couldn't let them drive anyone else.

"Mom." I looked in the review mirror for a split second and smiled weakly.

"Yes, Kayla?"

"Is dad going to finish Tyrell's job? By, y'know, hurting Theo?"

"Or killing him." KJ mumbled.

"Bruh shut up!" Timothy nudged him, "Don't make Ma mad."

"Too late for that." I said to myself as I pulled into the gas station. We still had two hours of driving left before we reached home and we needed some gas.

"Okay each of you get five dollars, spend it wisely. Makayla, can you go pay for the gas? I'll feed Torri." She nodded and grabbed the money, "Come on if y'all want something." Makayla mumbled sadly.

After the police arrested Tyrell, we've been trying to come up with his bail. I know my baby is going to get through this. After getting Torri and her bottle, I walked to Kennedy and sat on the hood of the car with her.

We sat in silence before she sniffed, "It was only time, ma. He only put his hands on me one time, it wasn't that serious. Not serious enough for Ty to do that to him. If only I didn't make him so an-"

"Stop! This isn't your fault. Honey, I said the same thing about your father when my family told me to leave after the first time he put his hands on me when I made him upset. But that first  time turned into many and soon I realized that no matter how many times I tried to him happy, the hits were going to still come. You can not be blamed for someone else's actions."

I placed a sleeping Torri in her car-seat and buckled her back in then I went back to Kennedy.

"I haven't told you this but on that unspoken night..." I was referring to when Keith caught me and...him... in bed. "Keith gave me the worst-" "Mom, please I can't hear about what dad did to you." "Listen!... he gave me one of the worst beatings I ever had. He pulled a gun out on me-" I felt my eyes water and I cleared my throat, "I-" a gasp came from the side of us and we were faced with KJ. The look on his face was indescribable.

"Jr... listen to me. Don't hate your father-"

"Too late for that." KJ wiped his eyes and held a hard look, "I want to go home. Now."

The ride back home was uncomfortable as I kept looking back at KJ. He sat way in the back and avoided my stare. Since Tyrell, Kennedy and Kendrick knew about Keith's and I past, it was only right for us to tell the young ones. It was sooner than I expected though.

We pulled into the driveway and KJ was the first one out. "I have the keys so how are you going to get in? Hmm?" I smirked but when he didn't turn around I knew this was going to be the talk that would either make him or break him.

Kendrick's POV

"What's up with him?" I nodded to KJ sitting on the porch chairs. "He listened in on Ma and I's conversation about her and dad's past." I made a face while picking up Terio from his car-seat and the bag that combined both of our clothes, "I remember how I felt when I found out. My views changed on him and honestly I wasn't even fond of Pops at the time."  Kennedy nodded understandingly. "KJ actually looks up to dad, so it's going to be one tragic story when he gets home."

I raised my eyebrow.

"Where did he go anyway?"

Keith's POV

My knuckles turned white from gripping the steering wheel to hard. The thought of that nigga putting his hands on my daughter had me fuming. I know I'm not the one to be talking since I wasn't no gentleman myself  but seeing what I put y/n through made me want to make sure that my daughter's did not go through the same.

I walked through the automatic doors and tapped the desk impatiently, waiting for the white lady to look at me from the computer. "Sir, please sit over there and wait to be call-" She looked up and stopped mid-sentence. "Oh. How may I help you?" she fixed her hair behind her ear and blushed. If I wasn't in the mood I was in, I would've laughed at her reaction. "I'm here to see Theodore Wright."

 "Your his...."

"Father in law."

"Oh so you have kids?"

"Yes I do. Nine, actually."

"Does a wife come with that package?"

I squinted my eyes at her, "Did very bad flirting come with your resume?" She frowned and her cheeks turned a bright red. "He's in room B229...sir."  I tapped the desk once more and jogged to the elevator.

Hopefully he was awake so he could explain himself but the way Tyrell handled him, I'm pretty sure he was unconscious. I walked down the stuffy hallway and appeared at his door. It was open and I heard the TV being played.

I slowly peeped around the corner and seen him in a cast with bandages in his nose and a swollen eye and bottom lip.

Tyrell got him good I had to admit.

I knocked on the wall and his eyes, well the good one at least, looked over my way. His face shifted from a look of pain and distress to a look of panic. " Trust me. If I do even half of what my son did to you, you wouldn't make it out of this hospital bed." I took chair that was at the foot of the bed and moved it closed to him. I sat down while playing with the rings that decorated my fingers and slumped down.

"Ya know Theo...the thought of anyone bringing harm to my family immediately snaps me back into my old self and usually I don't care about the thought of hurting people. But you know what's sad?" I raised my eyebrows waiting for an answer and he shook his head.

I wasn't mad at that. If I had a swollen lip, I wouldn't want to talk either.

"What's sad is the fact that you're family. You married my daughter, gave me three beautiful grand-kids and promised to God to not hurt her. Then you turn around and put your hands on her?" I sat forward and propped my elbows on my knees. "I trusted you with her, I gave her away to you. All that shit that happened with the eloping and getting her pregnant at a young age, just to go back to square one with me. With y/n, the whole family." His eyes started to water.

"I didn't mean to. It was in the heat of the moment and I was angry-"

"I wonder how many more times you'll be in the heat of the moment. You want to know what really pissed me off? If Makayla didn't slip up and tell Tyrell then none of us would've known this shit." I got up and got closer to his face, "If you lay another fucking finger on my daughter, I will come for you myself and it wouldn't be a hospital bed you'll be laying in. That's on my family." I fixed my collar and started walking to the door.

"I'm sorry, Keith."

I looked back and shook my head.

"It's not me who you should be apologizing to."
