I wake up to Daniel shaking me lightly and the rest of the group in the room. "Woah what the hell!" I yell and cover myself even though I didn't need to "Get up and dressed we are going to see tigers" Adalyn smiles "Bring tissues, I think you girls are gonna cry, this is a part of the trip I knew wasn't gonna be the best but it will open your eyes" Jonah smiles tightly My heart starts to beat fast and I stand up looking at Daniel and he looks down. "No" I shake my head "What do you mean no?" Jonah and the rest of the group frown "I'm not going" I sit back on the bed "You need to come Alexis" Adalyn murmurs "No" I whisper "Get ready" Corbyn growls and shoves everyone out the door I stand up and pull on some clothes and shoes then walk out of the room. I walk to Daniel's side and then we walk to the van. After a hour we arrive at a tiger Zoo and my heart sinks. Daniel holds my hand tightly and we step out of the van walking up and buying a wrist band. We walk towards the tiger pen and I let out a little whimper. 10 tigers were lined up in a pen each. All of them lying down and staring at people as if asking for help. I watch as one of the zoo keepers walk past a pen and the tiger jumps up growling and roaring at the keeper. The keeper pulls out a long stick and the tiger curls up in the corner with sad eyes. "No I can't do this" I shake my head tears filling my eyes Adalyn was already crying while Jonah tried to comfort her. "Just wait" Daniel whispers We walk through a door and I let out a sob. Around 6 tiger cubs were on the ground unable to move due to being so weak. Heaps of people were taking photos with the cubs and the keepers kept pushing the cubs to keep them awake. "No" I whisper A keeper hits one of the cubs and immediately my blood boils "WHAT THE FUCK" I yell and step forward only to be pulled back by Daniel "Calm down I know it angers you by we can't be arrested" he growls in my ear Everyone stares at me and I nods slowly. We walk into a pen and sit down next to a cub. It drops it head and the keeper steps forward. "Don't touch it" I snarl and he sends me a glare and hits the cub with a stick "Dude" I stand up and step in front of the keeper "What the fuck is your problem man?" I step forward and the keeper steps back his eyes filled with fear He starts talking in a language I didn't understand and I shake my head. "This whole place is fucked. You should all be arrested" I look at all the keepers and then arms wrap around my waist. "Sorry" Corbyn says to the keeper and then carries me out of the zoo as I try to fight out of his arms to shove the stick up the keepers ass. "Alexis stop!" He yells and puts me down "They can't treat these poor animals this way! They are babies and they are treating them horribly. All they do is drug them and then hurt them. All the tigers in there had scars and all the keepers are idiots!" Tears start flowing down my cheeks and I put my head in my hands "Don't you see the way the tiger would try and attack the keeper? It's because that stupid keeper hurts him everyday" I wipe a tear off my cheek and look at Jonah "I know this place is horrible Lex" he murmurs "NO YOU DONT. If you knew it was horrible then you wouldn't of brought us here and made us pay so that they can get more money to go out and steal more tigers from the wild" I yell and then turn storming away from the group I walk to the van and then climb into the back corner away from everyone. They all climb in silently and Jonah starts driving us back to the hotel. We get to the hotel and I stand up storming to my room and I slam the door pulling off the shirt and shorts pulling on the clothes I sleep in and I curl up in bed. Daniel walks into the room and places all of his stuff down before stripping to his boxers and climbing in beside me. He pulls me under his arm and I start sobbing into his chest. "That was such a horrible place" he mumbles I let out a shaky sob and Daniel pulls me in closer rubbing my back lightly "That cub would of been grateful for you trying to stop that keeper from hurting him" Daniel whispers pushing hair away from my face "But I couldn't save him" I whimper "No one stands up for the tigers. All they want are photos with the tigers so they can post it all over social media. But today you stood up for a cub and it obviously opened the eyes of heaps of people there because when you were getting dragged away I saw heaps of people pushing keepers away from the cubs. Even the older tigers were getting protected by other people" Daniel wipes tears off my cheeks and then he grabs his laptop "Netflix until we both pass out?" He smiles I nod slowly and he puts on a movie. I snuggle into his side and eventually fall asleep due to my exhaustion from crying.
