My eyes scan over Eve as she sits down beside Daniel on the couch. She had her long hair tied back and a few strands shaped her face. "You know we were a band?" Jonah looks at Eve and we eyebrows furrow "Wait what?" She bites her lip feeling as though she should know them I'm glad she isn't after Dani for his money or fame. "Why don't we, now we're why did we" Jack smirks as Gabbie rolls her eyes "Your dad jokes hurt me and you aren't even a parent yet" I roll my eyes at Jack who flips me off with a laugh "So how did you guys meet?" Eve looks between me and Corbyn who was currently sleeping with his head buried in my lap I smile softly running a hand through his hair feelings him shift but seeing a slight smile on his lips. He moves closer and I look up at Eve. "We were best friends when we were five, we had both gone through some stuff and he was crying over the passing of his father. I made sure he was okay and we instantly connected. First year of high school Corbyn dragged me off to some woods and kissed me. We were thirteen and completely confused on what was going on but then he met Christina. She made it her mission to ruin my life and make sure Corbyn was all hers" I sigh and glimpse down at the blonde haired boy. "I loved him. But he loved her. So I let him go, but somehow he made his way back into my life after 4 years. Now we are here and I can't wait to marry him" I blush when everyone was watching me with curious eyes even though most of them had lived with me through the pain and heart break with Corbyn and I. "What was it like when you guys kissed?" Daniel leans back wrapping his arm around Eve and she snuggles into his side keeping her eyes on me. "Like fireworks going off, him and I were always fireworks flying through the air...but the kiss is what set us off" I look down at the boy I had known for most of my life. "What did you feel inside if you?" Jonah's eyes flicker to Tate who had asked the question "It's like we were all connected to the world by strings. But when he kissed me, he became the only thing holding me back from disappearing. He became the center of my world and I didn't want anything but him." I smile softly and Gabbie smiles "He loved you the day you guys kissed" Harry murmurs I frown looking over at my 15 year old brother who had his eyes set on my fiancé. "What do you mean?" I whisper "When he kissed you and brought you back home I caught him outside and I forced him to explain. He said you guys kissed and now he felt different about you. He couldn't find the words to say it so I had said it for him and he nodded. I was 8 but I knew my shit" Harry smirks and I slap him softly "Don't swear, it hurts to think that a few years after that you disappeared from me" I look at Harry who diverted his eyes to his hands "How did you guys stay together? Most high school sweethearts break up" Eve bites her bottom lip and I chuckle "We weren't high school sweethearts babe, he was my bully" I murmur and Eve, Tate and Gabbie gasp at this new information "He bullied you?" Eve's eyes flicker to Corbyn and then back to me "For 5 solid years, then after graduation I ran into him again and we fell in love slowly. He broke up with me a few times then I moved to Australia and then I came back to tell him I didn't want to lose him over stupid stuff" I shrug and Corbyn stirs slowly sitting up He rubs his eyes and I giggle at his confused face. "What is going on?" He yawns "Just telling the girls about how you bullied me" I murmur and he tackles me in a hug "You know I'm sorry and I fucking hated myself for it baby" he mutters into the crook of my neck "I know, but I'm glad you bullied me" I whisper Everyone looks at me confused and Corbyn pulls away to look me in the eyes "I wouldn't be as strong as I am now and also, I saw the looks you gave me after you would hurt me. I knew you had feelings for me and hated hurting me. I remember one time you reached to help me up and apologise but Christina hooked her way in and dragged you behind her" I comb my fingers through his messy hair and he blushes "I always loved you Lexi bear, from the day you met me on the park bench" Corbyn tucks a hair behind my ear and I push him softly "Alright too much sappy stuff" Daniel pulls Eve up and she stops him and turns to me "Thank you, for accepting me. I know the pain you have been through" she smiles softly and then turns walking off with Daniel "Wait! How do you know?" I look at Eve and she looks at her hands "My parents killed themselves after I graduated high school. Found them both dead on the bathroom floor. I understand the feelings you went through" Eve's eyes flicker to mine and I step towards her She flinches but I continue walking and I wrap my arms around her small frame. "I didn't know" I whisper "No one asked" she smiles softly holding back the tears in her eyes Daniel takes her hand softly and she follows him out the back door and I turn to the group "We can't change the way we treat her. It will make her feel as though we pity her. She doesn't want pity. No one wants pity because you can't feel bad for someone you had nothing to do with at the time and when you send the reason for it" I murmur and they all nod "Baby can I choose the place we have the wedding at?" Corbyn looks at me with hopeful eyes and I bite my lip "Can I know?" I raise my eyebrows and he shakes his head "It will be a surprise for you" he whispers "Okay" I nod my head and the group starts to tear off "By the way, I have a idea" Corbyn murmurs running a hand through my hair "And what would that be?" I lay down putting my head in his lap and he smiles softly "We build our own house" he strokes my face gently and I widen my eyes "Our own?" I sit up and he nods "I want to get it built before the wedding. I already have a idea of the place, you would love it" Corbyn looks at me and I blush "If you are ready then I am too" I look into his eyes and he nods "I was ready the day I found it" he kisses me and I lean into the kiss giggling as he tossed me over his shoulder and carried me up the stairs.
