"Happy birthday to you!" Grayson sings.
"Happy birthday to you!" I join in.
"Happy birthday dear sweet little Mike that we love so much and spoil,"
"Happy birthday to you!"
Mike giggles and claps. "Yay!"
"You know, we make good kids." Grayson says.
"We really do."
"We should make another."
I smile. "Fine, but later tonight. I gotta shave my legs and drop Mike off at mom's."
Grayson nods and kisses my cheek. I grab a cupcake from the store bought container and smile at Mike.
"This is how you eat a cupcake." I smash the cake into my head and giggle.
Mike claps, then slams his head down on the cupcake set in front of him, causing Grayson and I to burst out in laughter.
He picks his head up, and as Grayson kisses the frosting and cake away from my face, I wipe Mike's literally caked face with a towel.
Mike is amazed by his miniature Grayson jersey, his stuffed elephant, and a blanket from a cartoon he loves. This kid is easy to please, just like Grayson.
As we watch Mike play outside on his play set that took forever to build, Grayson and I swing back and forth on our swingy chair thingy.
He intertwines his fingers with mine and I rest my head against his shoulder as I kick off my sandals and curl my legs under me.
Mike sits on the swing and Grayson gets up and walks to him. He pushes him slowly at first, but when Mike yells 'faster!', Grayson obeys.
"Jackie!"
"What?" I ask.
"You'll be yelling 'faster' at me tonight!"
"Shut up!"
"And 'deeper', and my name, and 'oh yes right there', and many other dirty things."
"We don't have to if you don't wanna."
"Yes ma'am I'm sorry." Grayson goes back to pushing giggling Mike.
Once we get home from dropping Mike off at mom's, Grayson is a bit too excited to start.
"I smell bad. Let me shower first."
Grayson groans and plops on the couch. I laugh and start the shower.
I step in, and I'm immediately followed in by a boy name Grayson.
He pushes me up against the wet wall and smiles at me.
I roll my eyes and sigh, then kiss him.
