I apologize if I majorly
screw this up, but I know
next to nothing about the
MCU. Annnd sorry if I
disappoint, but this will
be based upon the characters
in Spider-Man: Homecoming
because that's the only
Spider-Man thing I'm familiar
with.

Peter pov

"And here we are!" the tour guide exclaimed a bit over-excitedly, and Peter hardly refrained from rolling his eyes. "Our last exhibit. This particular exhibit will demonstrate how to safely handle nuclear laboratory waste."

"How exciting," Peter scoffed sarcastically under his breath, silently hoping that this exhibit would be a quick one. He stuck close to the group of his fellow highschoolers, raising up on his toes every now and then to try and see over their heads.

Peter was only fifteen, and one of the youngest students selected to go on a special trip to a science exhibit at Empire State University. And being that he was so much younger than most of his peers, he was also one of the shortest.

Peter's best friend, Ned, noticed him standing up on his toes and leaned towards him. "I could hoist you up on my shoulders, if you want," he joked.

Peter glared at his friend. "What? No way, dude. I can see just fine," he countered. "Besides, this stuff's all pretty boring anyway."

There were so many tall heads in front of him that Peter couldn't even see the exhibit. He figured that maybe if he stepped back, he'd be able to see at least something. Peter glanced over his shoulder, taking note of another exhibit set up behind him.

"I'm gonna back up some," he whispered to Ned, who nodded in response and pulled his disposable camera out from his backpack.

The exhibit behind him had a large table set up with an even larger machine placed on top of it. Peter stepped back as close as he could get to it without touching it, then once again raised up on his tip toes.

He squinted as he looked over the heads of his peers, regardless of the fact that he was wearing glasses specifically to keep him from squinting.

"The process is very lengthy, but I'll do my best to go over it quickly," the tour guide trilled.

"Thank God," Peter mumbled, earning a chuckle from Ned, who was standing in front of him and slightly to the right.

Ned's flash went off and the camera clicked loudly, resulting in scorns from the other students. Peter ignored it, folding his arms and backing up an inch further.

The machine behind Peter roared to life, though it wasn't particularly loud and he could still hear the tour guide more clearly than he desired. It did tickle the back of his neck, however, and he briskly brought his right hand up to the back of his neck and held it there.

The tour guide babbled on, and Peter began to simply tune her out and listen to the conversation happening behind him. He heard the scientist at the exhibit behind him mention something about radiation testing - which sounded far more appealing to Peter.

He was just beginning to turn around when he felt a sharp needle-like pain on his right hand, and he jerked it away from his neck. Peter examined his hand, and resting on the space between his thumb and first finger was a rather small, red spider.
