Ava's POV

I tapped my pencil violently against my test. I should have paid so much more attention in this class. Zay was in this class but she was way across the room. She hasn't been sitting next to me , or texting me , or calling for awhile now. Jennifer said she was enjoying being single but damn ... I can't be a friend? I sighed heavily. I can't believe I'm about to fail this test like this. I crumpled the test up into a ball and walked out. I felt so embarrassed but at least I didn't have to look at a paper with a fat red F.

I was walking to the cafeteria when somebody grabbed my wrist. I turned around quickly. "What the fuck?" I asked. This guy put his hands up. "Woah! Chill! It's just your brother. Who you haven't called? Sent a text? Email?Letter? Fed ex? UPS? FaceTime? Skype? Oovoo?" he went on. "Zachary! Shut up. That's 1. 2, HOW IN THE FUCK DID YOU GET ON CAMPUS and finally 3, why would I call you?" I said turning around just to be turned back around.

"1, if I was to shut up I can't answer 2 and 3 can I? 2, I walked on campus as a millionaire's oldest and sexiest son. 3, because I'm your favorite older brother," he smiled. This is true. We had the same parents. "I'm here for one reason and one reason only and then I'll be out of your hair. Father is having a huge function. Everybody is going to be there , even our mother. It's quite disgusting really. All his kids with their mothers, it sounds so disgusting."

"I'm not going. I never go to these things. You know that!" I said and Zachary smiled. "Dad knew you would say that and so he made you an offer. Come to the dinner or don't and suffer the consequences," Zachary said with a smile.

"Cutting my allowance? Freezing my account? My cards? That doesn't scare me anymore," I said and Zachary shook his head. "It's not you . It's me. And you know I can't have my accounts or cards frozen," Zachary said pouting his lips and puppy eyes. "Oh you'll live," I said storming off but he was right behind me.

He was in black loafers , blue jeans and a red plaid shirt, shoulder length dirty blonde hair , pulled in a low ponytail with hazel eyes. "Zach-"

"Please Ava?! I did nothing to deserve this!"

True, Father knows I'll do anything for my brother. I sighed and I nodded, agreeing to help him. "When's the event? Walk and talk," I said and he followed me to the cafeteria.

"It's in a month at the Chesapeake Ballroom. It was so expensive to book it. He wishes this to be extremely elegant so he'd prefer you bring Michael but if you bring Zay that's fine. I would get his approval on whoever else you might bring," he let roll off his tongue nonchalantly. I rolled my eyes so hard I saw the inside of my head. "I know little sister but you know how he is with these events. It's all about public image," he reminded and I nodded in agreement. "Also, he wants to know why you've been failing?" he asked quietly.

"What in the hell do I need a career for Zachary? Honestly? As father's first born you inherit everything which is why I don't understand your stubborn non wavering passion for stocks and bonds. Keep it to yourself. Mother already teaches me the ins and outs of her company," I said smiling.

"You're waiting for the deaths of our parents to be established," he said and my smile faded. "I understand. I was like that my first years of college. Hey does Jennifer still talk about me?" I burst out in laughter and felt bad immediately after.

"No. The girl doesn't even think about you. You ruined that. You brought her to a fraternity party and left with another bitch. You can't possibly think that she'll even entertain the thought of you believing she thinks about you," I said and he held his head down. "Tell her to give me a call," he pleaded.

"I won't," I heard Jennifer say walking up behind me. I smirked. Sorry older brother. "If you think you can change my mind by any chance please know you can't. There's this cute guy named Lucas at my favorite club, he's the bartender at Feu Bleu and I just finished letting him fuck my insides out all across his Passat. Me trying to get out the car was quite a challenge," she smiled. My jaw dropped and I covered my mouth. Zachary got pissed and just walked away defeated.
