Ava's POV
"So ... You've been trying to kill your ex-husband?" I asked and Diana sighed heavily. "No ... it's not that .. I'm trying to make sure he's the one who did this to you. Then I'm going to kill him ... not try," she said standing up.
"You've killed people before?" I asked and then Dmitri piped in. I couldn't stand him.
I couldn't stand him. "Diana do her dirty work? Please ... her body count is 13." My jaw dropped and Diana rubbed her forehead in annoyance. Dmitri poured himself a drink and smiled to himself. "My body count is 2 the rest are Derek's," Diana said sitting down next to me.
"Well you two were married and last time I checked you were quite the sidekick," he said sipping on his drink. Diana glared at him and there was a knock on the door. Deniska opened it and Alek walked in.
"So the three of you are siblings?" I asked and they all nodded. "Sooo Alek... did you snatch his soul and then some?" Deniska asked Dmitri gagged.
Alek removed a laptop from her bag. "His house is being robbed as we speak as a good cover up. The tracker was properly removed but not disabled so as far his cellphone is telling him and his cameras... I'm still in bed and his house is fine. You're going to need his phone to unlock the hard drive though," she informed and Dmitri handed the laptop to Deniska.
"Well now that Alek is useless ..." he said annoyed and the room was silent. "Or not. How in love is Derek with you Alek," I asked and everyone's head snapped to me. "I don't like where this going," Diana said pouring herself a drink. "But continue."
"Well ... Derek can know that Dmitri is here but doesn't necessarily mean he's working with you Diana... What I'm trying to say is Dmitri kidnapped Alek to bring her back home. Derek fucked your family over a couple years ago Dmitri ... and now he wants to be with your sister. Some nerve don't you think," I finished. Dmitri , Deniska , Alek and Diana all shared glances.
"Diana my price just raised," Dmitri said.
"Dmitri you're doing all this and you don't even know if it was him yet," Alek stated in a very pleading tone and then looked at Deniska who sighed.
"Either way. Our contract ends with Diana with or without his death. If we choose to kill him after that's our business. Diana this would be the perfect time to lead Ava out the room," Deniska said and she took her dagger out of her boot.
Diana shook her head and placed her hand on my thigh, "She has to see this."
Dmitri stepped forward and Alek stepped back. "I'm your baby sister!" she screamed and tears began to roll down her eyes.
"I don't want to do this. You laid with him even before this came about. You simply switched over to the winning team. Honestly little sister ... did you think it would be ignored? There is a price to pay.. he's an enemy," Dmitri said stepping towards her again and she once more stepped back.
She glanced at Deniska who shook her head, "Even if we wanted spare you , father ordered us to do it regardless. Derek is aware of how our father is ... you returning to him saying you were kidnapped by Dmitri without a scratch.... We can't have any doubts."
Deniska was slowly walking up to her as she said this. Alek began to cry and she backed up into the wall. "Don't hurt her! You don't hav-"
Diana covered my mouth and whispered in my ear, "Do not interfere."
Deniska stabbed her in the stomach and Alek grabbed onto her in pain. I screamed in Diana's hand. I've never witnessed such a pain before. It was terrible. Deniska held her sisters face and hugged her tightly as Alek tried to breathe. She waited until she took a deep breathe to remove the dagger out slowly and then throw her to Dmitri who caught her by the throat.
He squeezed and took a pocket knife out of his back pocket. He sliced her down the right side of her face. He shoved her away and Deniska was there with a gun aimed to her head. My eyes widened and Diana held me tight in place.
Deniska lowered the gun and shot her in her leg. Alek was now doubled over on the floor not knowing which wound to tend to.
Deniska kicked Alek in her side making her roll onto her back. She then rolled her shirt up. "You want me to do it? I took wood ship?" Dmitri joked and Deniska glared at him. "I'll go get the blow torch," he said and walked out.
Alek pushed up from the floor and tried to run but Deniska grabbed her by her. Alek uppercut her with a sharp elbow. Deniska dodged most it but it struck her nose and she began to bleed. She glared at Alek at then a devious smirk cross her face. Alek swung but Deniska countered, kneeing her in the stomach and then kicking her into the glass coffee table. It shattered. I shrieked and Diana pulled me into her. Deniska glanced at me and then back at Alek who was no bloodied and trying to crawl away.
"I can't say I understand the pain you're going through but I can understand the stupidity in trying to fight what's going on here," Deniska said kneeling down in front of her. Alek tried to get up the whole time staring into Deniska's eyes. She was holding a shard of glass.
I guess Diana felt me about to say something and covered my mouth tighter. Alek stabbed Deniska in her thigh, quickly ripping the shard out and then stabbing her in the shoulder.
Deniska screamed and Dmitri came running in. He picked Alek up by her hair and then looked at Deniska. "Oh that's not nice... Apologize," he said and Alek looked at him and said, "Screwed you."
"By all means baby sister, make this fun!" he said and put the torch to her stab wound. I'll never forget the blood curdling scream.
He tortured her. Burned her. Cut her. He had her held down on the ground as Deniska fired the torch on her dagger until it was a bright red. She rolled the back of her shirt and began cutting into her sister's skin.
"Watch her face closely. Because what you don't know is that she was the one who helped get your mother's ex out of jail the night before your accident," Diana whispered.
My eyes widened in shock and Alek started to shake her head. Tears rolled down Alek's face as she screamed and begged for them to stop. I began to cry as well. When they were down her back read "B R A T Z I" .
Deniska threw the torch and the dagger to the side and sat her up and Dmitri took off his jacket. "I'ma go get the first aid kit," he said.
Alek cried into her sister arms. I was so confused. They damn near killed her. She looked into my eyes and choked out, "I .. I didn't know ... " she said and then passed out.
Diana led me upstairs into the bedroom.
