chapter 28

Ethan's POV
Before 2nd period, I was texting Makayla, when I was bumped into some girl.

Ana. Fuck.

She bent down to pick up her keys and then she faced me. Her eyes were a little puffy. Her cheeks were tinted with red, and she went pale.

Her eyes started to water and she just stared. Then the tears escaped. I started to speak and she ran off. And I ran after her. She ran out the back and I followed. Then I lost her.

I stood outside on the court without a clue to where she went. I let out a breath and punched the wall. Dammit.

I walked back to 2nd period, the class I have ana in and waited to see if she will show. I had to explain to her exactly what was happening. But I had to end it with Makayla if I wanted to make it right. I sat there waiting. Watching the door.

Then she entered...

Anas POV
I walked into the classroom and all eyes were on me. I walked to my seat while the teacher wasnt looking and sat down quickly. Bad thing is I sit across the aisle beside Ethan.

I watched his eyes follow me from the corner of my eyes. I pretended to not care, or even notice.

Class continued, and the teacher didn't even notice my presence let alone if I was absent. He proceeded with the lecture and I took notes as usual. I always had the feeling of someone watching me or looking at me. I glanced to my right side and spotted Ethan staring at me.

Every once in a while he'll pretend to look at someone else or shift his eyes forward real quick.

Class ended, but we still had 10 minutes. It was free time and I decided to scroll through my snap stories. I landed on Ethans and decided to skip it. But after awhile I decided to  watch it.

I clicked on it. I saw a picture of him smiling. I smiled at the sight of it. I loved his smile. Especially when you know its real.

I clicked and then a picture of him and Makayla popped up. Except this smile was different. It wasnt real. It was forced. You could tell. I could tell. My smile went to a frown. I hated seeing him upset. But why would he be upset if he was dating the girl he likes?

5 minutes before the bell rang, someone called my name from the left side of me.

I turned to see a unfamiliar face. He was tan, green eyes, brown hair and was quite built if I say so myself. He was tall and had a shy smile on his face.

"Hello..." He said gently. "Hello." I responded back. My face went hot and I could tell I was blushing.

" I'm lucas, you're Ana?" He asked like he already knew the answer. " yes, nice to meet you." I replied with a smile. "I dont mean to seem stalkerish but I noticed you for a while and I wanted to formally introduce myself..." He said blushing. I laughed slightly. "no its not stalkerish, its sort of sweet in a way. " he laughed too and he pointed toward the empty seat next to me. " may I?" He asked. " oh yes of course."

Ethans POV
I saw Lucas walk up to Ana and I immediately almost lost it. Lucas was the biggest Ass and fuckboy in the school. I would know because we used to be great friends. Until he tried to make a move on Makayla. Hes the type of guy who seems all innocent and sweet but fucks you over and leaves you confused. Every girl he was with he fucked and just ended it there. I know because 1, he told me, and 2, all the girls came up to us and got upset but of course his " innocent self" denied it and acted confused about it.

When I saw Ana look at him, I froze. She looked at him the way she first saw me. Her face went red and she seemed shocked. I gritted my teeth and clenched my fist. I couldnt let her be played by him. But how do I tell her if she doesnt even want to look at me?

I got up from my seat and walked up to them. And I did the unexpected.

I saw her standing by the back desks with Lucas and I was there in an instant. Im so fucked right now.

I gently pushed her against the desk and grab her cheek and leaned in to kiss her.

Our lips locked and I couldnt tell you how good that felt. My hot blood pulsed through my veins and my Body felt like it was shaking, aching for the touch of her lips once again. Our lips moved in sync for what it seemed like eternity, but actually was less than 10 seconds, before she pulled away.

She had a shocked and serious look in her face. She was confused as hell and sort of mad. We were inches apart and both breathing heavily. She bit her lip and sat back on the desk.

"What the hell?" I heard a male voice say on my left side. I turned to see Lucas. He was pissed. But then he smirked.

Everyone was staring at me. Well us. Me and Ana. They all started whispering.

Shit what did I do.

Ana's POV
All I could think of was his soft lips on mine. The way our lips interlocked after a while of no connection. We moved in sync. And Every kiss made me crave it more and made my body weak. I missed this. I missed him.

Then it hit me. He was still with Makayla. I pulled away. I couldnt do that to her. But I mean he did kiss me first. But I kissed back.

I couldn't do that to Makayla. Even if I didn't like her. She gave off some bad vibes. Like when I'm in a room with her. My mood shifts and there is tension and negativity in the air, That type of bad vibe.

I walked out of 2nd and went to lunch immediately.

I walked to the cafe with my phone in hand and my bag over my shoulder and wearing nothing but sweats.

I walked in and it took a moment for me to realize how I was getting alot of the attention. I looked up slowly from my phone and saw girls and guys looking at me then quickly looking away.

I was confused. I got my lunch and sat at a round table which was vacant as usual.

Then I was accompanied by a familiar face. Alexa! Wow I havent seen her since todds party. And I'm surprised she even remembers me when she was flat out watsed.

" Heyyy Ana." She says with a smile and sits down across from me. " Alexa hi!" I said with enthusiam. " how have you been?" She asks and I shrug. " eh so so. What about you?" I ask back. " well I havent been at school since the party. My parents sent me to rehab for drinking and I have to go Every day after school." She says rolling her eyes. I laugh and nod.

" okay so I also came her to ask you and important question." She looks serious and I nod while I'm chewing.

"Rumor is going around you are hooking up with Ethan Dolan behind Makaylas back." And I turn stone cold and stop chewing. I swallow quickly and I'm frozen.

" what-who- who is saying that!" I say a little louder than intended. "Well everyone is saying Lucas saw you two making out in 2nd period, but others are saying he kissed you. But yanno how everyone believes the rumors." I sit there and think back to when me and Ethan were together.

Before I found out he had a girlfriend. " ana are you okay?" She asks. I look at Her and I shake my head.  " okay Alexa I need to explain and so far you seem trustworthy." I say. She nods her head. " I wont say a word I promise you that." She confirms and I explain. " so after the party, Me and Ethan just hung out. Until he kissed me. And we started to get a little serious. He was helping me through tough times and I never felt anything towards anyone except for him. Then I found out last Friday that he had a girlfriend. He never told me. Like at all. I found out when she called him and I overheard her. Then I ended it. But he kissed me today. He came up to me. And i dont know why."I finished explaining.

" wow, hun I'm sorry." She replied. "But you know Makayla is like bitch crazy right. I mean like crazy crazy. Like she is crazy for no reason crazy. And I heard she was go-" then I heard screaming and she stopped talking.

" Where is that bitch at!?" I heard a girl scream and I figured it was Makayla. She stormed into the cafe and stomped to the middle of the cafe. She turned and saw me. And then she walked towards me.

"You stupid bitch!"
