A week later...

Anas POV

"Honey are you ready?" My dad whispered as we walked down the hall...

The aroma was a blend of alcohol and bleach, and everything was white. White walls, white tiles, and a profusion of white coats.

I  glared at the door presented before me. Room # 333. And Infiltrated through the intimidating threshold and stepped into the room.

The sound of beeping overpowered the silence of our footsteps and the chatter outside. However the anxiety it caused me was excruciating. And the sound it self made me want to breakdown and cry.

I hesitantly pulled back the thick white curtain... Only to be presented with a pale, and almost lifeless woman. My mother.

" momma?" I whispered, my voice cracking. She tilted her head to the side and her eyes barely opened. Her cheeks were hallow and her body frail. Her head was bald and covered with a blue knitted cap. Oh momma.

She gave me a weak and tired smile and slowly reached her hand out to me. I took ahold of her cold and under oxygenated hand and held it with both of mine. I took a seat next to her bed and set my chin in the railing.

"hey momma." I whispered and she smiled, her lip quivering a bit. "Hey baby." She let out a small voice, that was almost inaudible over the beeping. Tubes and wires were hooked up to her and they tangled one another.

Her breathing was slow and steady and her body was shivering due to the body chills. She was limp and cold, and I knew she was in a lot of pain.

I kissed the back of her hand and let the tears slip out. We have been through shit and im in as my just by glancing at her.

Yes she hit me, beat me and caused me to go to the hospital accidentally a few times. And we fought and argued, but she is the woman who gave me life and she will always be in my heart. She will always be mom.

" I'm sorry momma." I croaked out and she gazed at me, her eyes partially opened. " I'm sorry for arguing, for fighting and for kicking you out."I whispered loudly. My eyes stung and my cheeks were damp from the tears. Wet spots decorated the blue bed sheets, the only colored item in the room, and my hand saueezed my mother's.

My dad was at the foot of the bed, his head hung low and he gently rubbed my moms leg through the blanket.

" I love you momma." I whispered and and she squeezed my hand with the last bit of strength and energy she had.

" I love you too Ana....Y-you're my little girl. I'm so-rry." She spoke slowly, breathing deeply between each word. I smiled at her words and kissed her forehead. She smiled and I held her for a couple minutes until I decided to release.

" I...promise... I'll... I'll find you." She started to breath heavily and quickly, and positioned her face upward towards the ceiling looking up.

I kissed her hand and squeezed it. Tears ran down her face and she trend her head to the side to glace at me and my dad. I love you." She whispered to both of us, her voice was weak and shaky.  She nodded slightly and smiled and then looked back up. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes.

My dad moved over to her side and pressed his forehead against hers and kissed her lips ever so gently. "I'll see you later." His voice was so weak and shaky and tears slipped from his eyes.

I closed my eyes, my hand still I. Hers, and exhaled deeply.

Then I heard a long beep. Followed by my dads scream...

She was gone.

Someone never wanted to let go, just ripped from your life ...
