chapter 36

Ethan's POV

I grab my sweatshirt and push past Grayson and run down the stairs and across the street.

Cars fill he driveway and are parked down the sidewalk and curb and i know it's a packed house. I can't go in there.

I look at he house before me and head around the back to her backyard.

I climb the fence and drop to the ground and see a window that is already broken. Obviously hers.

I walk over to the window and knock. She jumps and walks over to it hesitantly.

"What the fuck e!" She whispers aggressively and frightened and I  shrug And smirk. She rolls her eyes and walk over to the bed and Pat's the spot next to her.

I climb through the already broken window and land on my feet with a hard thud. "Well shit could you be any louder!" She whispers and I give her a sorry look.

I take a seat on the bedadjacent to her and she crosses her arms over her chest and turns to face me. "Okay... So what?" She says staring at me coldly and I sigh and set my hand on her knee.

"Grayson told me... Im- I'm so sorry." I say sincerely and she just sits there emotionless and nods. "I wish you would of told me she had cancer..." I whispered and looked down and she stayed quiet.

"I forgive you." I said lastly and she looked up and into my eyes. "I-im sorry for, yanno, that and I am sorry for getting upset." She said almost inaudible and I grabbed her hand and squeezed it.

Her eyes started to turn pink and tears dripped from her ducts.

And she breaks down... In my arms.

I hold her and she sobs into my chest. "I was so mean to h-her!" She sobs, "I told her she was not my mom anymore and- and- cussed her o-out an- and-" her words were muffled by the cries and she wiped her eyes and sniffled.

I couldn't help it but o cry as well. Tears slipped from my eyes and I wiped them away immediately and cupped her cheeks into my hands and faced her.

Her face was red and her eyes swollen from crying... But she was as beautiful as ever.

"Look, ana, i know you lost someone who truly mean the absolute world to you ... I know I can't understand your pain, but don't damage yourself more by blaming ourself and living in regret." I whispered as her breathing started slowing down.

"I will always be here for you..." I whispered. "because I am in love with you." I whispered again and she started to cry more.

"Oh eth-" I interrupted her by gently pressing my lips on hers. Our kiss lingered and I pressed my forehead against hers as she took a breath.

"I love you too..." She whispered and a smile formed on my face.

"I'm gonna take you somewhere..." I finally said getting up and extending my hand out for her to grab.

"Where?" She asked and I smirked.

"Let's just say it's a memorable place." I smiled and she grabbed my hand and I left her out the window.
