Logan
"Vanessa?"
Oh not this again. I though we were past this.
I watch as she walks, more like runs, away from me, and I'm left in the dark.
Does she not like me anymore? I thought after she stayed at my house and I helped her...
Before I can go into my endless cycle of she loves me she loves me not, I feel a tap on my shoulder.
Turning around, I am greeted with a coffee right in front of my face, which blocks my view of the provider. Once I take the steaming coffee from the mysterious hands, I lightly scowl under my breath when I see who it is.
"Hi," she says to me softly, "I got you a coffee like I used to do for you."
"Thanks Taylor," I sternly reply. I'm definitely not in the mood to talking to her. I start to turn away from her and stop midway when I hear her squeak.
"Wait!"
Biting down on my bottom lip hard, I turn around and look down at her and her short brown hair.
"What Taylor?" I bark at her, "You already tried to sabotage my relationship with Vanessa, someone I'm very interested in, and showed a part of me I have never seen and never want to see again."
Once I finish my rant at her, she takes a breath and parts her lips.
"Look Logan," she grabs one of my arms lightly and I flinch by her touch, making her pull away, "I am so sorry that I did that. When you started showing interest in Vanessa I... I got jealous. You are my best friend and I didn't want to lose you or have you getting hurt. So please can we get past this and go get lunch?"
She looks up to me with such hope and sincere I can't help but agree.
"Fine," I roll my eyes as she quietly squeals, "But you are buying food-"
Before I can finish, she quickly chirps in.
"Done!"
"And you're apologizing to Vanessa."
"No problem at all," she very enthusiastically replies without missing a beat, giving me hope that they can maybe be friends in the future.
Maybe if she stopped running away from me.

"So what have you been up to the past few weeks?" I ask Taylor as I bite into my one of my chicken wings.
"Well, I have been working with Dr. Matthews and Dr. Jones on a few surgeries the past couple days, but other than that, not much," she replies happily.
As I take another bite of one of my chicken wings, Taylor sneaks her hand into my plate and quickly takes one of my wings.
"Hey!"
Stuffing the chicken into her mouth, she responds with her mouth full.
"I bought it!"
"You gave it to me!"
"Well.. I still bought it!"
Laughing, I wipe my hands off with my napkin. I missed hanging out with Taylor. She's like my little sister, and even though she is annoying at times, she's still pretty cool.
