Vanessa
"Hi," I smile back.
Our eyes lock. Without out saying anything, I stare into his blue eyes. Hand-in-hand, arms wrapped around each other, we stand in perfect silence.
"I think we should stop meeting like this," he says, breaking the silence.
"Like what?" I jokingly question him.
"Well, for starters, you falling into me like a damsel in distress"
I feel my face become red as a tomato, hoping he didn't notice the change in color.
"Oh, really?"
I look away from his eyes to our hands. I reluctantly start to release my hands from his. As I'm untangling our hands, Dr. Henderson keeps on talking.
"Yes, really. I mean I love the attention, but twice? I think you're becoming weak with your game."
I finish untangling our hands and put my hands on my hips. I then proceed to look up into his deep blue eyes.
"First of all, you bumped into me a few weeks ago. And second, I am definitely not weak with my game. My game is perfection."
"Perfection?"
"Yes, perfection. As in perfect."
He looks into my eyes and I stare back into his. As I look into his eyes, I see beautiful shades of blue splashed onto his eyes. Looking into them is like seeing a beautiful portrait of the ocean. As I'm searching his eyes, he gives me a small and sexy smile.
After pausing, he says, "Alright, you got me beat."
"Good," I say, smiling, "ready to start the day?"
"Yeah," he smiles back, "we are just waiting for one more person."
"Alright."
"I wonder where she is?"
"Yeah, I wonder," I pause and take a breath, "Anyways, do you know what-" Before I can finish my sentence, I feel myself being shoved to the side.
A shorter girl with pin-straight brown hair is now next to me, taking my spot.
"Hey," she says in a flirty tone. She flutters her eyelashes at Dr. Henderson. His eyes widen, I guessing at her excessive amount of makeup and her considerable amount of cleavage in her scrubs.
Tone it down, girl. We're not in a stripper bar.
I crinkle my nose take a step back from the girl. Her intoxicating perfume feels as if it has started a war in my nose. I would have taken more like a 50 fifty foot distance away if I didn't want to watch her flirt with Logan.
You know, today would have been the day to bring popcorn to work
Without even processing that she hit me and that she took my spot, she holds out her hand for Dr. Henderson. He barely grabs the perfectly manicured hand and shakes it.
"Hello, Dr. Muff?" Logan responds in a slightly confused and terrified matter.
"You can call my Alex." She flutters her eyelashes some more so fast that it looks like her eyes are having a seizure. I pierce my lips together to try to mask my laugh that is forming in the back of my throat.
