"Aw Blake, come on. Don't be such a puss. You know you love us." Charlie whined from behind me.
I was crossed armed and stomping away from them.
"Yeah Blake, you know you love the fact that we got you to talk to her again." Mandy chipped in.
"Yeah! We're like your super young, super cool Fairy Godmothers." Charlie flicked out her pointer finger and moved it around in the air like a wand.
I was not going to talk to them, even if they did get Jessie to talk to me.
"Alright Charlie, I don't think she's talking. Let's go on the water rides! Let's go on the wild river rafting thing first!" Mandy grabbed Charlie's hand and started walking away.
"Hey, no fair! You know I love water rides!" I turned around.
They smiled at me.
Great, I gave into their little plan. They were never gonna go on that ride without me. I thought.
Each one of them grabbed an arm of mine and dragged me along.
A hour later we were soaked and floating in the Lazy Lagoon because the Lazy River was just too mainstream for us.
"My butt hurts," Mandy complained.
"My feet burn," Charlie complained.
"My face hurts," I complained. You see, for one ride I decided to sit in the front. Yeah, not such a good idea on my part.
"I think it's time to start Baby Blue up and have him take us home." Charlie jumped out of her tube.
"Wait, Baby Blue is a him?" I asked, following Charlie.
"Yeah, you didn't know?" Charlie was out of the water and squeezed her hair out. When she did that it looked like Niagara Falls fell out of her hair.
"Let's get changed." Mandy said, running to her bag.
I followed the girls into the changing room. I took out my extra clothing and put it on. I of course had to match, so I had my camp t-shirt, jean shorts, and my camp hat on. What? You can't have the shirt without the hat.
I walked out to find Mandy doing her makeup and Charlie combing out that rat's nest of hers that she calls hair. Because according to her, having naturally straight hair was a pain in the neck.
I walked over to the mirror and took out my brush. I started combing my hair, probably getting water on who ever walked by me.
I gave up and put my hair in a pony tail. Charlie and I were waiting for Mandy to finish her makeup and finish combing her hair. We of course never really bothered to put makeup on.
"I want ice cream," I declared when we stepped out into the bright light.
"I second that," Charlie pointed to an ice cream stand.
"And I want some cotton candy." Mandy raced to catch up with us.
"One medium twist in a cup please." Charlie shook her head when they asked if she wanted sprinkles.
I looked at Mandy, "Go on, I'll catch up to you two." I watched them scurry off to the nearest cotton candy cart.
"Uh can I have a medium vanilla please." The lady gave me my ice cream.
"Five dollars please." The lady asked.
Six Flags is so expensive, I looked into my bag, Shit. I don't have my wallet.
"Ma'am do you have five dollars?" The lady pressured me.
"Of course she does, I'm buying for her." Someone placed a five dollar bill on the cart.
I looked up, "Oh, you don't have to." I saw Jessie looking at me.
"It's fine." She licked her ice cream.
"Oh, thanks then. Where are your friends?" I asked.
"Waiting for me, I just had to get some last minute ice cream before we left."
I laughed and walked with her. "So um, are you stalking me?" I whispered into her ear.
She let out this adorable laugh, "Of course not! It must be our destinies to keep running into each other!"
I blushed.
"Oh hey. I see them." She turned around. "Hold this," she handed me her ice cream. Then she wrote something down on a piece of paper. "Here, if you ever feel like going to Six Flags again, give me a call." She took her ice cream back and ran over to her friends.
I think my bi-dar was somewhere in outer space by now.
Mandy ran over and grabbed the crumpled up paper in my hand. "Ooo looks like someone got a certain someone's phone number."
"Hey, give it back." I reached for it.
"Ooo you can thank me when you get married for taking you on that ride. I can hear it now in your wedding vows, 'If it were not for my Fairy Godmother, Charlie, I would not be staring into the eyes of the love of my life. Getting ready to say the two most beautiful words in the world that will bind our love and our lives together, forever.' Oh my god, you totally need to use that." Charlie finished.
I rubbed the back of my neck, "Let's go."
We walked back to the car and got in the hot box.
"Charlie, put the AC on!" I reached the the button.
"Wait, first let me air out the car." She rolled the windows down and started the car up.
"So, was today that good feeling you felt in your stomach?" Mandy asked from behind me.
Yes, I thought to myself. "It was close to it," I lied.
