"Yeah, not my type either. Too much of a boy." She said.
"Wait, your..." I waited for her to answer me.
"A lesbian? No." She laughed.
"Oh."
Charlie looked at us, "Oh! I'll introduce everyone. I'm Charlie, but you knew that." She pointed to each person, "That's Blake, Mandy, Alex, and Rainy or Ryan."
Ryan moved over closer to Jessie,. "Hey, you're the new girl!"
"Kind of obvious." Jessie answered. They laughed together.
"I should go get something from my locker." I looked at Mandy and Alex talk and Ryan and Jessie laugh together.
Charlie got up, "I'll come."
"No, you don't need to." I told her.
"I don't care if you don't want me to come. I'm your best friend and I'm going to follow you because that's what friends do. They do things even if the other friend doesn't want them to." Charlie grabbed my hand and pulled me to my locker.
Charlie is weird...so are her speeches.
I stood, holding my lock awkwardly. I opened the door.
"There isn't anything in there." Charlie said while looking in my empty locker.
I closed the locker door and put the lock back on.
"Oh, I know what this is about. It's about Jessie and Rainy isn't it."
I nodded, "I got my fucking hopes up and now I know she's straight and she will never like me and it's just so stupid! Why can't I know a lot of girls who are bi?" I stomped my foot on the ground. "Ugh! Girls are so stupid! I should just go full on straight!"
Charlie laughed.
"What?" I asked.
"Nothing, it's just."
"What! Charles do you know something I don't know?" I called her by the nick name I knew she hated.
"What? No, me, never." She skipped away.
"Charles!" I raced after her.
I followed her back to the commons, where we were eating. She ran into Ryan and pulled him away from Jessie. What is that girl up to? I ran faster.
"Hey guys," I ran past my friends, "bye guys. Charlotte Bennett, get your damn ass back over here!"
She and Ryan turned around and looked at me. They ran faster and laughed.
I turned the corner into the foreign langue department. "Ryan Grayer, get your tall self back here!" A teacher I ran by gave me the hairy eyeball.
I looked back at the teacher shaking his head at me. "Oof," I fell over, squishing someone in the process.
"Hey Blake, what's up?"
Oh god no. No! Charlie, I'm going to kill that girl one day. I got up, "Sorry Jessie." I held out my hand, she took it. The feeling of butterflies bursted to life in my stomach.
"It's fine, are you okay?" She asked.
"Yeah, do you know where Charlie went?"
"Um, she and Ryan ran past me just a second ago. I think they were going back to Alex and Mandy." She turned her green eyes towards me. I felt as if I were floating in a sea green ocean.
I swear, if I could melt, I would've right on the spot. It would've been the Wizard of Oz all over again.
We walked back to our spot and sat down. Charlie winked and smirked at me. I thought about smacking her.
Then the bell rang, Time for gym. I got up and walked towards the gymnasium.
"Blake, I have gym too!" Mandy got up, clutching her cellphone in one hand.
I walked into the locker room, "Oh geez. Still has the same smell." I closed my nose, blocking out the smell of sweat.
Mandy picked a locker and put her lock on it. "Good thing it's the first day, cause 5SOS is coming out with a new song release in five minutes, so I think I'll just hang out in here."
"Okay." I walked out of the room and sat on the benches. Don't know you, don't know you. Hey, I know you, you live on my street. I watched the people walk around me.
"Is Blake Anderson here?" The gym teachers voice echoed.
"Huh? Yeah," I raised my hand to get his attention.
I sat there for forty five minutes and every second I wished I remembered to bring my headphones, but I didn't.
"You can go." I looked up, relieved that I was finally relieved from my uncomfortable spot on the bench.
I walked back into the locker room. "You listen to their new song?" I asked Mandy.
"Oh my god yes. Yes. Yes!" She fangirled, "Uhh, they are so beautiful."
I nodded and followed her out of the locker room.
Ninth period was finally over. I ran out of the classroom and whipped out my phone.
'Hey Charlie, you free this evening?' I texted.
'No, sorry. Rainy and I are going out.' ~Charlie
'It's fine.'
I saw Mandy, "Hey! You free tonight?"
"5SOS tickets are going on sale in a hour. I need to get home." Mandy hurried away from me.
I guess I'm alone, I thought and walked towards the buildings front entrance.
"Hey Blake!"
I turned around. Oliver was jogging behind me. Oliver is a very annoying, stalkerish boy my friends and I knew.
I hurried away from him, Please don't know that I saw you. Please leave me alone. He quit trying to get my attention.
I hopped into my truck and drove home.
A/N: Hope you liked the chapter! Sorry for any mistakes.
