I heard a moan come from behind me. Fuck, there's a fucking stranger in my room. I opened my mouth, about to call for my parents.
"Blake? Are you awake now?" I heard Jessie's voice. I remembered what happened last night. Thank god that happened on a Friday. "Blake, what day is it?"
"It's Saturday." I rolled over and met her face.
"Mmmh," she moaned. "Don't talk so loud."
I looked at her, I barely spoke aloud.
"Hangover."
"Oh," I sat up and got out of bed. "How long do you think it will take until my Mom finds you?"
"I don't know." Jessie hid under the covers. She peaked her cute eyes out from under the sheets, "Can you see me?"
I smiled and sat down in my swirly chair. "You ever play sims?" I clicked on the little green diamond icon.
I didn't hear a sound come from my bed. I looked over my computer screen and saw Jessie fast asleep.
Okay then, I thought and loaded the game. I played the game for an hour before Jessie finally stirred. I was in the middle of creating this beautiful Victorian styled home when I heard someone's stomach growl.
"Um, Blake." I looked over and saw Jessie's head, once again peaking out from the covers.
"Yes?" I quickly logged out the the game, giving her my undivided attention.
"I need to pee, and I'm um, hungry." She said uncomfortably.
"The bathroom is the first door on your right and I'll go get some food." I got up and left the room.
I walked down the stairs, Please don't bark. I looked around, Mikey wasn't there so he must've been in my parents room.
I grabbed two bowls, spoons, milk (because who knows), and some cereal I hoped Jessie would like.
I ran back up the stairs and ran into my room. Jessie was their looking at my photo wall.
"Wow, you've known Charlie and Mandy for a really long time haven't you?" She ran her fingers down a group photo. She turned around and looked at the photos on my desk. The photo-booth ones. She froze, probably in horror. She looked down and started laughing. She pointed to one strip of photos of Charlie and I. In those photos Charlie had attempted to stop smiling, but to no avail. I had my hands pulling back the skin of my face, so I kind of looked like an Asgardian warrior with a tight fitted helmet on.
"You look so cute in these." She ran her fingers across another one.
"Yeah, that was the day Charlie and I decided to take over the photo booth machine. The other ones, over there, are when we went to the mall with Mandy and Ryan." I put down the food. "So, do you want me to take you home? I asked awkwardly, hopping she'd want to stay.
"If you don't mind, but I'd like to stay some more. I don't really want my parents to see me like this." She climbed back onto the bed.
"It's fine, what do you want to do?" I asked and poured her some cereal. I held up the milk for her to see, she nodded her head so I poured some in.
"I don't know." She took the cereal and a spoon.
"You want to watch something on Netflix?" I asked. She nodded her head, I grabbed my computer and brought it to bed.
I scrolled through the movies, "That one! Let's watch Brother Bear!" I clicked it. I love that movie.
We watched the movie, giggling and laughing and even singing because it's a Disney movie and you can't watch a Disney movie without singing terribly along to the music.
"Tell everybody I'm on my way
New friends and new places to see
With blue skies ahead, yes I'm on my way
And there's no where else that I'd rather be!!!!" We sang along with Koda.
When the movie ended, Jessie was scrolling through movies when my phone buzzed.
'Did you have fun at the party?' ~Mandy
'You can say that...' ~Blake
'Why? Did you get drunk?' ~Mandy
'Um, no but I had a sleepover.' ~Blake
'Ooooo is he cute?' ~Mandy
'No, it was with Jessie. She's still here.' ~Blake
'Oh...' ~Mandy
'I'll leave you to your flirting. Bye!' ~Mandy
'Bye' I texted, ending the conversation.
Jessie had already started a movie when I looked back. It was something about a fake fiancé. She laughed and smiled at the screen. Man, she was so adorable.
Yeah, so you know when you like someone so much you just want to punch yourself in the face, over and over again? Yeah, I really wish Jessie would go to the bathroom so I could punch myself.
"Blake," my Mom walked into my room and saw another girl in my bed. "Oh, you brought some company over."
Jessie rolled off the bed. I looked at her, then back at my Mom. "Uh, yeah. Sorry."
"No it's fine." She lingered at the door. "Um, okay." She left.
I looked over the side of the bed, "What was that?" I asked Jessie, who was currently laying on the ground.
"I had to see if my ninja skills worked. So I tried to disappear." She got back onto the bed.
"Okay." We continued watching the movie.
Finally it was around five when Jessie said, "I should go home. My parents will be worried. Can you drive me?"
I got up and out some outdoor clothing on and Jessie put her yesterday clothing on.
We got into my truck and I drove her home. We sat in the car, staring at each other. She put her hand on top of mine. Once again the feeling of fireworks came to life.
"Thank you so much. I owe you." She lifted her hand away and got out of the car.
I was feeling brave, Should I say that I like her? Should I just blurt it out? I thought to myself.
"Wait, Jessie!" I yelled from the car.
"Yes," she turned around, with her hair blowing in the wind behind her.
"I um, I mean...you don't owe me anything." I chickened out.
"Of course I do!" She waved goodbye and gave me a stunning smile. I watched her disappear into her house.
Well, fuck.
