It was Monday, another week of school. Well the second week of school but I was already sick of it.

I walked into the commons and saw all my friends already there. "Hey Charles."

Charlie turned around and looked at me, "Hey Blake."

We talked until the bell rang. We all went our separate ways.

Jessie had to go to the guidance office so I had to draw the portrait based off of a few photos of her I took over the weekend.

I'm not a stalker! Charlie, Mandy, Jessie, and I hung out over the weekend. We played Just Dance on the wii...it was pretty sick. I bet if we tried we could win the tv show So You Think You Can Dance.

I sped through the day, excited about seeing her during lunch. I sat against the wall, Charlie and Mandy walked up to me with their lunches. Mandy was on her phone, Charlie directed her away from crashing into some guy.

"Hey." Charlie sat down.

"Hi Mandy, sup Charlie." I said.

"Mandy, say hi." Charlie commanded Mandy.

"What? Oh, yeah hi." Mandy said without looking up.

"Where's Ryan?" Alex asked as she walked up.

We all looked at Charlie. She shrugged, "I'm not his master, I don't know where he is all the time."

"But he's your sex slave," Alex mentioned, bringing back the old memories of dumb jokes.

Charlie gave her a death stare, which she is really good at. Like, really, really good. She can give you one stare and I swear you will burn away in an instant. "Well, he might of been but then I set him loose." Charlie's stare turned into a goofy smile as she played along with Alex's old joke.

"Oh," Mandy put her phone down, "I saw him talking to Jessie in F-wing."

"Let's go!" Charlie got up. Alex and Mandy stayed put. "Okay, Blake, let's go!"

Charlie pulled me up and we walked over to the art wing of the school.

I heard Ryan's voice, "I like you. You're funny, so um. Would you perhaps like to catch a movie with me or, I don't know. Go grab a slice of pizza with me later today? Like after school or something?"

Jessie's voice came into the mix, "I'd love to! How about after school? We could get a slice of pizza, you can show me where the good pizza joints are."

"Great, actually why don't I take you to the diner? The food there is way better." Ryan suggested.

My heart sunk. I think it was all over my face. Charlie looked like she wanted to comfort me, but she isn't the mushy gushy type.

Charlie patted my shoulder, "I'm going to kill Rainy."

"Nah, it's fine." I tried to brush it off.

"No it's not. You hurt, I hurt, you cry, I cry, you jump off a bridge. I'm gonna jump in a paddle boat and save your sorry ass. Right now, I'm getting out my paddle boat and I'm going to smack Rainy in the head with it." Charlie looked at me.

I shrugged, Her speeches are weird. Then I walked back to the commons. I sat down and ate my food in silence. Ryan walked over and sat down next to Charlie.

"Hey, where were you?" Charlie asked.

"Talking with Jessie, she went to her locker." Ryan said.

"What are you doing to night?" Charlie asked another question.

"Going to the diner."

"With?" Charlie was getting her nosey face on.
