Yoongi winced as he felt Hoseok's lips press against his, the pain from Jimin's punch lingering. Yoongi stood frozen in surprise at the action. Slowly pulling away, a little stunned. Creating space between them but keeping under the awning and out of the rain.
Hoseok pulled back, blushing, "I-I'm sorry if I over stepped or read the signals wrong."
Yoongi shook his head, turning and heading back into the studio, "Honestly, it's my fault. I'm sorry."
"What do you mean?" Hoseok asked, following Yoongi inside and plopping down onto the couch.
Yoongi began packing up his laptop and equipment, "I've been flirting with you to make someone else jealous. I'm sorry. I know I was wrong. I just... Felt childish."
Though Yoongi knew genes lying, Hoseok smiled as if he weren't offended, "Who could make Min Yoongi feel childish?"
Yoongi waved the question away, "Its too late, why do you think he punched me?"
Hoseok gasped, a little exaggerated, "Jiminie?"
Yoongi nodded, pulling on his jacket, "Yeah. But I fucked up. I lost my chance."
"Tell me about it," Hoseok patted the seat across from him.
Yoongi stopped packing and took the seat. Surprisingly he felt comfortable with Hoseok. Though his cheerful personality seemed contrary Fo Yoongi's own, he helped Yoongi feel happiness whenever he was down. The comfort made opening up to him to much easier as the younger patiently listened to Yoongi's story. Something the elder found himself thankful for. He'd never had close friends before Namjoon and the others.
"Wait," Hoseok halted the conversation, "You're engaged?"
Yoongi sighed, leaning back against the couch, "Technically it's an arranged marriage, but yeah basically. My father ran a not so legit loan company back in Daegu. He wound up bankrupting himself and getting on the wrong side with some bad people. If I marry this CEO's daughter he'll forgive my father's debt."
"Wow, Hyung," Hoseok's voice was full of pity, something Yoongi truly hated. "I'm so sorry. I didn't even know people still did arranged marriages these days."
Yoongi scoffed, "They still do among the rich and the desperate."
Hoseok quirked a brow, "You don't seem like someone who does what they're told."
Yoongi smirked, letting his head fall back so he could stare at the ceiling, "I'm no rebel. I may not like what my father did but he did it to try and create a better life for me and my brother. I can't betray my father when it would endanger him and my mother and my brother." Yoongi looked down at his fiddling thumbs, mumbling, "No matter how much I love him.
Hoseok sighed, "You're Fucked."
Yoongi chuckled lightly, "Yeah. I know."
The two ended their talk and packed their stuff. Parting ways after a slightly awkward goodbye. Hoseok still clearly tender from Yoongi's rejection but still trying to cheer him on. The elder applauded him for that. Part of him wished he could like Hoseok. But, from the instant he saw his smile, Jimin had consumed Yoongi to the deepest darkest parts of himself. Meeting him at that dinner... He'd never wanted something so bad in entire life. Now that he had him, every part of him ached for more.
Yoongi pulled on his motorcycle helmet, careful of his throbbing jaw. Riding his motorcycle was one of the few true escapes Yoongi had. A taste of pure freedom as he waved through the traffic. Everything was in his control. The one thing in his life he could control. But the wind that whipped against his leathers was twice as cold as normal. From the moment Jimin rode with him for the first time, Yoongi missed his warmth. His toned arms wrapped around Yoongi's waist. Jimin's musical chest resting against his back.
Yoongi shook the thoughts from his head and sped home.A sigh escaped Yoongi as he walked into his modest studio apartment. Though it was neat and clean it still looked dingy. The walls covered in ripped wallpaper and off color paints. One window that was broken to hell. The kitchen small with puke green countertops and mismatched tiles. How could he have actually brought Jimin here? He felt as if he'd brought an angel to hell.
Yoongi slammed the door shut, not even caring enough to remove his shoes as he unloaded his equipment. Immediately heading over and falling back on to his bed. His head rolling to the spot where Jimin once laid. Yoongi had watched his beautiful sleeping face for at least two hours before leaving out of pure embarrassment. He left because he didn't think he could face Jimin in the morning. Yet another mistake.
