Yoongi stared at his reflection in the mirror of the dressing room

Yoongi stared at his reflection in the mirror of the dressing room. Slowly buttoning the expensive blazer around him. He felt out of place in the expensive store. Uncomfortable in the brand name clothing wrapped around his body. He sighed, irritated by his own reflection. Was he even looking at himself any more? Or was his reflection that of the weak man HyeMi had molded him into?

"Oppa!" HyeMi's all too familiar shrill voice echoed outaide the dressing room. "Let me see!"
Another sigh escaped Yoongi's chest as he stepped out from behind the curtain. Greeting HyeMi's bright expression with his own dark one. Annoyed to model the fifth outfit in the past two hours they've already wasted in the store. Yoongi was positive every outfit she handed him was the same as the last.
HyeMi skipped over, turning him to face the mirror, "This one looks so good!"
Yoongi's face was as empty as he felt, "It looks the same as the others. Can you please just pick one?"
She linked her arm around his, checking her own reflection in the mirror, "It has to be perfect. We only have one wedding day."
Her words made Yoongi sick to his stomach. He stared at their reflection in the mirror. He pictured the image of them standing side by side for the rest of his life. Yoongi's heart sank at the thought and his stomach churned. Whenever he looked to the space beside him, he saw HyeMi with his eyes. But he saw Jimin with his heart. Everything about HyeMi felt.... Wrong.
"This one will go perfect with my dress," HyeMi announced to the sales woman who had been quietly standing off to the side. "We'll take this one."
The sales woman bowed, "Yes, miss. He looks very handsome in that one."
HyeMi snapped her head in the woman's direction, glaring daggers at her, "He's going to be my husband. How dare you flirt with my fiancé. Do you have no shame? Where's your manager."
The woman bowed repeatedly, a look of defeat on her face as she profusely apologized.
"Do you even know who I am? You disgusting thing," HyeMi pushed the woman to the ground.
Instantly, Yoongi moved between them, his eyes stern on HyeMi, "Stop this."
Yoongi turned to help the woman up but she brushed away his hand, running off to complete her task. Taking the moment Yoongi had given her to escape HyeMi's jealous wrath. With no more than a glare, he moved past HyeMi and into the changing room. Changing back into his normal clothes. Taking his time so he could enjoy a few moments without being watched like a hawk.
He stared at his hollow reflection again. He missed Jimin and the others. He missed Jimin's laugh whenever Jin told one of his lame old man jokes. He missed the way he could talk to Hoseok and Namjoon about music, even when Joonie would get philosophical. He missed teasing Taehyung and Jungkook. He even missed the way the youngest ones would mess with him or touch him. Though he acted annoyed he enjoyed the brotherly interactions. That's what they were to him... Brothers.
"Yeoboseyo?" HyeMi's voice could be heard again, answering her phone while waiting for Yoongi to emerge.
A few moments past before she spoke again, "What are you talking about?"
Yoongi listened, hearing something frantic in her voice, "Tomorrow? Why so soon?!"
More silence then she spoke again, "Arasseo..... Why does Abuji want Oppa there too?"
Yoongi stepped out, sharing the same confused look on her face as she ended the call, "Ye, ye."
"Where are we going?" Yoongi asked, finally comfortable in his regular clothes.
HyeMi's face was still full of confusion, "There's been a call for an emergency board meeting at Kang Corp headquarters tomorrow."
"And your father wants me there?" Yoongi asked.
HyeMi nodded, grabbing her purse and leading him towards the door, "He probably wants to groom you to join the company."
Yoongi stopped mid stride, "I'm not giving up music."
HyeMi turned back, her dark eyes narrowing in on him, "You'll do whatever my father or I ask of you. If not you're always welcome to watch your family become homeless and be forced to drop out of school."
Yoongi watched her leave the store, taking the bags from the woman HyeMi pushed earlier. Yoongi apologized again before following HyeMi to the car.
In this moment... Yoongi was sure he was going to lose the last piece of himself he had left if he stopped making music. Without Jimin or music... Yoongi had nothing... Was nothing.
