Yoongi awoke late in the day, a perk of summer break. A vacation the elder held close to his heart. Simply because he could sleep as much as he wanted.
The Sun peered blindingly through the blinds as Yoongi entered the living room. His eyes still adjusting, he could see the boxes stacked at his feet before suddenly tripping over them. Crashing to the ground and skidding across the wooden floor into the living room. As if the incident was a scene straight from a cartoon.
"Hyung!" Yoongi didn't need to be able to see to recognize Namjoon's soothing voice. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah," Yoongi replied, eyes adjusting, crawling back to his feet. "What's with the boxes?"
"They're Jimin's," Jin replied, bringing Yoongi a cup of coffee from the kitchen. "Here."
"Gomawo, Hyung," Yoongi replied, coming slowly to his senses with each sip of coffee. "Why is his stuff out here?"
"He's having his things put in storage since he doesn't know how long he'll be living in Sydney," Taehyung replied from the kitchen table, his voice sullen and face filled with sadness as he stared at his tea.
Each of them had been dealing with the news in different ways. Namjoon over compensated by constant encouragement though his smile never reached his eyes. Jin was cooking and baking more than usual. The eldest also spent more time with his pet Sugar gliders than he used to. Hoseok rarely comes home- often found in the dance practice room of the school or dancing his heart out at a club. Jungkook had practically doubled his workout time and played his games lifelessly. But Taehyung seemed to be taking Jimin's move the hardest.
Even Yoongi could tell that the two shared a special bond, each the others best friend. Since the news of Jimin's move, the 95 liners barely spoke. Both unable to look at each other out of fear of breaking down in years, Yoongi speculated. Jimin wound up spending more time at work while Taehyung sulked around the house. Unleashing his sadness and anger on whoever happened to annoy him. Though everyone tried to be understanding, there had been a few fights. The situation even affecting Namjoon and Jin and Jungkook and. Taehyung's relationships.
Yoongi sighed, plopping down at the table beside Hoseok, "I wish I could have been a business man, then I could help him."
"If only there was a way to just go in there and rip up the stupid fucking contract," Jungkook added, voice layered in indirect irritation.
Yoongi shot up, the idea practically smacking him in the face, "Why can't we?"
Namjoon quirked a brow at him, "Because there's a million people where who would stop us."
Yoongi's attitude grew mischevious, "All we need is to find out where the contract and copy are, then destroy them."
"Easy as that?" Taehyung scoffed.
Yoongi shook his head, "No. We've been going about this all wrong. We've been trying to beat our opponent at a game on his territory. We need to stop playing by their rules."
Jin cocked his head in dry confusion, "What are you saying?"
"I'm saying..." A smirk danced across Yoongi's face. "It's time we beat them our way."
They all looked at him in confusion as Jin spoke what their minds were thinking, "How?"
"We've struggled," Yoongi replied. "We know that life isn't fair and we know how to get dirty to get by. So I say, we get a little dirty."
With that, Yoongi held up Jimin's company ID card, "We sneak in at night, find the contract in his father's office and destroy it."
Hoseok, Taehyung, and Kookie jumped from their spots with cheers of agreement.
But Jin and Namjoon looked at each other, Joonie looking back to Yoongi, "CEO Park isn't an idiot. His lawyer will have a copy too."
Yoongi smirked and looked to Jungkook, "That's where a certain friend of ours comes in."
Yoongi looked to the others, his voice and eyes filled with determination. He was going to help Jimin, the way Jimin had helped him.
"We are going to give Jimin-ssi his life back."
