[Long Chapter Ahead]
Yoongi's eyes shifted to the clock hanging on the wall as he sat at the dinner table, sharing a meal with his housemates. It was late, past nine, and there was still one chair empty at the table. Jimin's.
Somehow without Jimin there, Yoongi felt a bit hollow. Incomplete, as if Jimin were a missing part of him. A new peculiar feeling since he'd only know Jimin for a month. Despite the memories he held before the accident. He could remember everything, except Jimin. What was worse? That Yoongi didn't understand why. Whenever he asked he would always get the same reply: that he and Jimin were friends. But... It was more than that, Yoongi felt.
Everyone's heads shifted to the door at the chime of the keypad, as if they all had felt the same emptiness.
After some shuffling, Jimin came around the corner. Running his delicate hand through his loose brown hair. The act itself practically poetic whenever Jimin performed it. Yoongi was sure Jimin was real by now. But he was still in awe of the perfection in every movement. Every lock of their eyes or sight of his smile sent Yoongi's heart pounding into overdrive.

"What smells so good?" Jimin asked, heading into the kitchen

"What smells so good?" Jimin asked, heading into the kitchen.
"I made jjajangmyun," Jin replied from the table. "There's pickled radish and kimchi out here already."
Jimin came out from the kitchen with a bowl of jjajangmyun in his hand, groaning as he took his seat across from Yoongi, "Looks amazing Hyung. I'm starving."
True to his word, Jimin immediately began stuffing the noodles into his mouth. Ignoring all manners as he slurped away. The group watched him in a mix of awe and humor. His cheeks puffing up a little as he gorged on the dinner. Yoongi couldn't help but chuckle at the younger's cute actions.
Jimin stopped, looking up to Yoongi, "Mwo?"
Yoongi practically tripped and fell into Jimin's eyes but managed to catch himself to answer, "Manggaetteok."
Everyone's surprised eyes shifted to Yoongi, Jimin speaking for them, "Wh-what?"
Yoongi nodded at Jimin, "You were stuffing your face. With your cheeks full of food and soft like that, you reminded me of manggaetteok."
Jimin smiled, thought Yoongi could tell it was half-hearted, "That's actually my nickname. I used to have round cheeks when I was younger so everyone called me Mochi or manggaetteok."
Yoongi nodded, realizing everyone's surprise, "You... We're hoping that it was something I remembered, huh?"
"Kind of-" Taehyung answered honestly until Namjoon smacked his arm to shut him up.
Yoongi could feel his guilt rising, "I'm sorry, Jimin-ssi"
Jimin winced at the formal speech but stretched out his hand, resting it on Yoongi's. Jimin's touch always sending a wave of sensation over the elder. Jimins voice was soft and kind, "It's okay Hyung. I told you, you didn't need to force yourself to remember anything. We've started over. The past isn't important any more. You're here and you're healthy. Thats what matters most."
The others mumbled in agreement but Yoongi was still angry at himself. Pissed at his lost memories.
"Why are you so late getting home?" Namjoon, smart as ever, was quick to change the subject.
Jimin slurped down the last bit of jjajangmyun in his bowl and a bite of kimchi before replying, "Heechul-hyung and I worked late in my office on the presentation for this new makeup product that's supposed to be sold in our department stores. You know I'm a perfectionist, so it took a while."
"Poor Heechul-ssi," Jin pouted.
Jimin laughed, a sound Yoongi hadn't heard much despite the others saying how bright Jimin was. But since Yoongi came home, he hadn't seen Jimin's brightness. Though his glow shined a little whenever he laughed. His smile reaching his soft brown eyes. Formed into crescents with the rise in his cheeks. Yoongi wished he could take a picture of Jimin in this moment, because it was the most beautiful the younger looked since Yoongi came home.
"Do you think Heechul-hyung let the work happen in peace?" Jimin asked. "Nope! He complained the entire time."
"Poor Jimin-ah," Taehyung laughed, running his fingertips under Jimin's chin.
Though the act was so simple, Yoongi couldn't help but feel jealous of Taehyung. Even he knew that Taehyung and Jungkook had a thing. But he was still jealous. Because despite how much the elder tried to deny himself, he wanted to touch Jimin. He always felt an overwhelming urge to touch Jimin. As if he'd awoken from his coma with a new addiction to Jimin's skinship. Still... He didn't know why.
Jimin lifted himself from his seat. Taking his dishes into the kitchen and cleaning them before coming back into the dining room.
"Sorry to eat and run guys, but I'm exhausted," Jimin managed to get out before a yawn escaped his lips. "I gotta be up early for the presentation. Good night guys."
The others nodded in understanding. Each saying good night to Jimin. The younger sending one last to Yoongi, flashing a warm smile, before continuing down the hall his room. Leaving Yoongi a blushing mess at the table. His heart thundering in his chest.
Namjoon sighed after hearing the door to Jimin's room close, "Jimin-ah must be having such a hard time."
Taehyung nodded, "He's always exhausted and down."
"I would be too if I hated my job as much as Jimin-hyung does," Jungkook added, finishing his second bowl of noodles and heading for the rest of the kimchi on the table.
"He's a big boy," Hoseok finally spoke, the compassion for his dongsaeng clear on his face. "Jimin-ah knew what he was giving up when he decided to work for his father."
"Why?" The group snapped their heads in Yoongi's direction as he spoke. "What did Jimin-ssi join his father's company if it's not what he wants to do?"
Each of them looked as if they knew they answer. Looked as if Yoongi should also know the answer. Clearly, Yoongi realized, the answer was another missing memory in Yoongi's puzzle filled mind.
Jungkook, still chomping away at dinner, explained freely, "He was in college like the rest of us, to be a dancer. But the man who hit you was a powerful businessman. Jimin-hyung  joined his father's company so he could take the fucker down."
Yoongi sat in shock for a few moments, his words barely able to tumble from his lips, "He gave up his dream... For me?"
The others simply nodded in reply. Yoongi could tell they were afraid to say anything further. But he knew there was more to the story. Like everyone else in his life, they were walking on eggshells around him. Yoongi never got the full truth from anyone and it was starting to piss him off.
"Guman!" Yoongi slammed his fist into the table. "I can't tell no one is giving me real answers! I'm sick of half truths! Someone spit it out, now!"
Hoseok stood up, the others remaining silent, "He was your boyfriend."
Without another word, Hoseok disappeared into the room he shared with Jimin. Yoongi slumped in his seat. Hoseok's words like stones stacked on the elders chest. One sentence sending Yoongi's head spinning. His eyes trying to focus on the others.
"Is that true?" Yoongi managed to ask.
Taehyung nodded, "Ohh. We didn't say anything because Jimin asked us not to."
      "Wae?" Yoongi asked in confusion.
Namjoon smiled weakly, "He was just happy that you were awake and healthy. He didn't want anyone pressuring you to remember all the time."
"Jimin-ah just wanted you to be carefree and happy," Jin added.
The others finished their meals quietly. Leaving one after the other, disappearing into their rooms. Until Yoongi was the only one left. Sitting at the table like a statue. Still as any other house decoration. Shocked by many things.
He was shocked that everything had been okay because of Jimin. He saved Yoongi's parents from the hefty hospital bills. He got justice for Yoongi's accident. He gave up his future for Yoongi.
Yoongi was shocked someone could care for him so much. More than anyone else had in his life aside from his mother. But he was also shocked that there was a time when Jimin was his. When the angel that breezed in and out of his daily life, was his. How could he forget someone so important?
     Suddenly, Yoongi felt desperate.
I will find a way to get Jimin's dream back... I will.
