[Long Chapter Ahead]

A day passed.

Then a week.

Before any of them knew it, the death of Jimin's father was three months into the past. Even Jimin's nightmares of the incident had reduced and each of his hyungs seemed to be getting back to a sense of normalcy. Though truly, all of them knew they'd never be the same again. A secret shared between the seven of them. No one spoke the words but they each knew it was a secret they would take to their own graves.
Jimin stood in the kitchen. Memories of the police and forensic team investigating the house lingered in his mind. Tae and Kookie had done their jobs well, not a speck of blood was found. Jin and Namjoon were still the only ones who knew what they did with CEO Kang's body.
Jimin could still hear the detectives questioning him sometimes. Mostly the first week was a blur to him, stunned from shock. It took him days to commend Namjoon and Taehyung for dressing the elder like Jimin's father to have footage of him leaving the house on the nearby CCTV cameras and ditching the car back at his home.
Jimin's guilt slowly faded and he was able to smile again. Especially with Yoongi by his side. The younger feeling at ease knowing the man he loved was safe with his father gone. Though he hated seeing his mother sad. After all, she did love him once. His younger brother, much like Jimin himself, knew their father's true evil within and barely grieved. Sadly Jimin's heart was softer. Inside, he still knew what he had done and he'd have to live with that darkness within him. His guilt was ever lingering. In a sick way, his father only wanted what was best for his son. Luckily Jimin knew his father's actions were unforgivable.
"Meuseun il-iya?" Yoongi's voice instantly pulled Jimin from his own mind, looking over to see the elder leaning against the kitchen door frame.
Jimin looked back to the spot where his father bled out. The image of the night burned into his memory, "Hyung... I wish I could forget..."
Yoongi stepped closer, standing in front of Jimin so their eyes could meet, "More nightmares?"
Jimin sighed, resting his head on Yoongi's shoulder, "More like all-the-time-mares. Everytime I enter the kitchen... I see him... Bleeding and lifeless on the floor."
"Yah, Park Jimin," Yoongi placed a soft hand on the side of Jimin's cheek. "You saved us. Everything isn't black and white like we all want to believe. But the reality, the actual world, is full of gray. Murder is bad. Fighting for your life is good. But there will always be that gray. Except for one thing... Etched in stone for millennia... Solid and unchanging."
"Mwo?" Jimin asked as he place his small hand over Yoongi's.
Yoongi smiled wide, his pink gums and white teeth showing, "Min Yoongi will always love Park Jimin. The good, the bad, and the dangerous- It will never change."
Yoongi leaned in, kissing Jimin's lips softly. His free arm wrapping around the younger's waist and pulling him closer. Jimin was about ready to bend over the stove until their moment was shattered to pieces by the piercing ring of the door bell.
"Daeche nuguya?" Jimin growled to himself before letting Yoongi go and heading for the door.
Jimin pulled the door open, irritation clear in his voice at the ruined moment, "Ige mwoya?!"
Standing in the doorway was the familiar but unexpected figure. His handsome face and tall, muscular body fit into comfortable black clothes. His police ID hanging from his neck as he stepped up to the door. The detective bowed politely to Jimin.
